ST.John University was established in 1879 by missionaries of Protestant Episcopal Church, under the leading of old president F.L.H.Pott, ST.John University became more and more famous in China in 20 century. Many students from riches and honor family came into the University forming its western style college life.When reading the materials of the ST.J University's archives, the author found everyday life of campus changed little with the important events, such as the increasing of the building, the transformation of educational system, students' striking, but changed deelply with the long way of registration to the government. The dissertation aimed to rewrite the history of ST.J University throught the everyday life of campus.The thesis consists of five chapters. The preface gave a brief introducation of the origin of the study. Chapter two maked a dynamic exploration on the aspects of ST.J University campus from 1920 to 1937, focusing on its students orgnizations, physical education, entertainment time, etc.Under the help of everyday life history, chapter three explored the process of the students' strike in 1925 and analyzed the reason of erupting of the strike and its ending. Chapter four illustrated how the power of government changed the tradition of the campus, in dealing with the registration problem. The last part involved the alumni orgernization, which was the extending of the college life.
