In recent years,seasoned with the current of increasing people learning foreign languages, Mongolia is having an increasingly wide range of communication and exchange with other countries in many fields,such as economics,education,culture and science.Therefore,the comparative study of sameness,resemblances and dissimilarity between non-relative languages,from the phenomenon to its causes,is becoming the trend of research work.We can have a more comprehensive and profound understanding about the characteristics of our own nation and other nations,learn from each other and therefore promote our development and disseminate the national culture.In the study of Mongolian lexicology there are two questions worth mentioning.Firstly,the structure,meaning,expression and many other aspects of Mongolian educational idioms all reflect a very typical characteristics of nomadic civilization and culture,and compose the essence of the treasure-house of the Mongolia nation's language,culture and thinking.Secondly,at the present stage of comparative researches between many non-relative languages,the research works and fruits of Mongolian and Chinese national culture education are less satisfactory and still need in-depth study. As a result,in this paper we choose the educational idioms of two non-relative languages,Chinese and Mongolia,carry out comparative study,analysis thoroughly of differences between national language,culture and thinking in order to promote the exchange of educational theory.This paper is devided into six parts:The first part is introduction,mainly to introduce the meaning of this research paper,the status quo of research,the methods goals,and the corpus.The second part is an outline of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms,mainly to define each specific concept and compare their similarities and differences.The third to fifth part are to carry on semantic interpretation and comparative study of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms types of teaching,learning and knowledge respectively.The sixth part is conclusion,based on detailed corpus and combined with national culture characteristics,to summarize the Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms and put forward a number of general conclusions.This study focused on the following aspects:1.To define the concept of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms and their similarities and differences; 2.To determine the characteristics of the source of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms and their similarities and differences;3.To compare the expression of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms from the rhetoric angle of view and draw conclusions from the linguistic aspects;4.To classify the Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms from the semantic point of view;5.To explain the language,culture and thinking characteristics of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms and their similarities and differences from the education aspects;6.To explain and conclude the related teaching principles,methods and results of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms;Although Mongolian scholars have got classified researches on idioms however,there is no specialized publication or dictionary of their Chinese translation and interpretation.Therefore the author have serious Chinese translation to every Mongolian educational idioms,trying to express its exact Mongolian meaning and keep in line with the Chinese habits,structure and rhythmic requirements.As to the profound parts concerning the national language,culture and thinking differences,this paper has done a detailed explanation,trying to be concise,clear and user-friendly.In this paper it has been the first time of systematic comparative study of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms and the cross-language study runs through the full text,and after the comparative study of the similarities and differences in their structure,meaning and expression:try to get semantic classification of these idioms,bring forward both common and unique interpretation of them and explain the characteristics of the educational tradition,customs,cultural thinking and many other aspects of these two nations:carry out to explain and conclude the related teaching principles, methods and results of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms.Significance of the research work,on one hand,it can reflect the two nations' traditional education ideology and their unique language and culture,on the other hand,it can contribute to the researches on pedagogy,lexicology,semantics,translation and provide materials for related Chinese courses of higher education colleges.The Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms in this paper are self-selected group and can be compiled into Chinese and Mongolian translation or explanation dictionaries.As to the more detailed and insightful analysis of Chinese and Mongolian educational idioms, this paper still needs to perform overall research and enhance the related theoretical instruction in order to formate a more advanced research system.
