The Research For Grammar, Semantic And Pragmatic In Commodity Explanations

This thesis studies some language issues in commodity explanation discourses,including the vocabulary,phrases,sentences,text and pragmatics.This research takes the grammatical notion of "three planes" and some theories in system-functional grammar as guide and basis to portray and explain lots of problems carefully and deeply,such as the usages of words and the words distributions in commodity explanations, the phrases types and sentences formats,as well as the text grammar in commodity explanation discourses.This research summarizes some tendency rules of language usages in commodity explanations.This thesis mainly studies several issues as follows:Chapterâ… studies the usages of vocabulary in commodity explanations.In this research we find out some phenomena in words usages and investigate them.The using ratio of monosyllabic words in explanations is low on the whole,but some monosyllabic verbs and prepositions have high using ratio.Double-phonetic-compound words are the main body of explanation words.According to the using distribution of word categories in commodity explanations,the notional words are the main body of explanation vocabulary,the nouns which express reference functions,statement verbs and adjectives which express description and modification occupy the main position.In functional words,the using ratios of prepositions and auxiliary words are high,while the interjections, the modal particles and onomatopoeic words are rarely appeared.Chapterâ…¡conducts a detailed analysis and conclusion into the using condition of phrases and sentences in commodity explanations.All types of phrases could appear in commodity explanations,but since the commodity explanation discourse owns a special property,it has its own characteristics in the selection of phrases,that is,SV phrases,VO phrases and NV phrases appear more than other phrases,auxiliary verb phrases which express imperativeness and preposition phrases are used widely.In this chapter,we also study the sentences in commodity explanations.In the four main sentence categories,declarative sentences which express introduction and explanation and imperative sentences which express suggestion and prohibition occupy the key positions, interrogative sentences and exclamatory sentences appear less;according to the sentence pattern,sentences with "ba" and "jiang" which express disposal commodity and "existential sentences" and sentences with "you" which express a certain function of a commodity used frequently.What's more,since a whole discourse has presuppositions,non-subject sentences are common in commodity explanations.In Chapterâ…¢,the first part investigates the logic-semantic relations in commodity explanation discourse,and classifies and detailed analyses explanation project in explanation discourse itself and the semantic relationship between the explanation projects,and investigates and studies some grammar category problems which appear in explanations,such as the time and space problem,the quantity category that involve in commodity explanations;this part also analysis the semantic expression of an important explanation project "zhuyi" in commodity explanation discourse;it also discusses respectively the commodity explanation discourse according to the different manners of meaning expression;at last, this part analytic the logical order of commodity explanation projects arrangements.The second part in Chapterâ…¢analyses the commodity explanation discourse with the theories of text grammar,the result is that "topics have levels" in explanation discourses.This part discusses the comment and focuses problems of sentences in explanations,and confirms the locations of key information;analyses the discourses thematic and topic thematic in explanation discourses,in the aspect of the connection method,this part studies the "grammar connection" and "vocabulary connection" in explanation discourses.Chapterâ…£analyses and studies the pragmatic and rhetoric of commodity explanation discourse.This chapter analyses the particularity of commodity explanation context,concludes the conversational mode of "invisible question and response" type,discusses the "illocutionary act" ability;and also investigates and analyses the embodiments of two important principles in pragmatics "cooperative principle" and "politeness principle".Although lots of commodity explanations abide the principle of quantity,quality and method very well,there are still some problems such as inadequacy of information or false information which influence the consumer rights seriously.So related compilers should understand basic pragmatic principles and apply into compiling practices.Commodity explanations need to be clear and fluency in semantic;words average and sentences average in form,the overall rhetoric style should be passive, since its main function is to convey information to consumers clearly,not to pursuit the words color excessively or to give readers a kind of novelty feelings during reading.But several common positive rhetoric methods, such as "metaphor,pun,and dual" are still used in commodity explanations;they can play a positive role in the publicity and explain of product effects.
