The Study Of Russian Terminological Onomatics

The dissertation focuses on the research of the essence, charateristics and formation of terminological nomination from multiple dimensions. The dissertation expounds and introduces the historical and current studies on Russian terminological nomination, annalyzes the characteristics of terminological nomination, takes insight into the motivation of terminological nomination, discusses the methods of naming Russian and international terms, explores and generalizes the major construction modes in terminological nomination, summarizes the development trend in terminological nomination.The dissertation consists of five chapters:The first chapter systematically introduces and summarizes the research in terminological nomination, discusses the characteristics and development in terminological nomination; the second chapter analyzes the major rules of naming terms, objectively probing the feature selection and term-creation process; the third chapter delves into the motivation in terminological nomination, analyzing the role played by the internal forms in the terminological nomination motivation and the starting construction stages in motivation, classifying motivation terms widely used; the fourth chapter studies the methods of naming Russian terms and term phrases in the light of sementics, morphology, syntactics and explains the models and characters of naming terms by a large number of examples; the fifth chapter concentrates on the research in the charateristics and formation of intenational terms, pointing out the development trend in the methods of naming terms.
