Research On The Development Of Terminology In Undergraduate Teaching In Translation Majors

Among all the translation competences,terminological competence is one of essential qualities that applied translators should have.Therefore,it is of the great significance to improve the terminological competence of the students majoring in translation.Based on the questionnaire survey and the translation test,the study reveals the current situations of the establishment of terminology courses in undergraduate-level teaching of the translation major,the cognition of the translation students on the terminological competence,and the translation students' level of the terminological translation.As a result,the study indicates the inadequacies of training terminological competence in undergraduate-level teaching of the translation major and then put forward the teaching proposals on how to set up the terminology courses to help the students improve their terminological competences.The study is expected to provide the reference for correlation studies.
