LuXun's Language Viewpoints And Practice

The Language view reflect people's understanding of the interrelationship between the language and the world.The basic connotation refers to the people's essential view to the development of the language in one historical period, it is not only a spirit mechanism of human, but also a special social phenomenon. There are two typical kinds of language view: one is the tool theory; the other one is the ontology. The difference between the two based on the different philosophical basises. 'The tool theory ' is the reflection of traditional philosophy which is focusing on the central task of rationality. The linguistic ontology' highlights the unity among language, human and the world, and also emphasizes effect of language on human, it is the image of contemporary western philosophy.Language is existence' is the core of Lu Xun's theory of language,it tends toward the linguistic ontology. Lu Xun believed that the language was intimately tied up with the human's survival, the people who cannot make the sound was nonexistent, the nationality as well.Therefore,he pointed out that the one and only way of living of Chinese was beginning of speech,speaking their own language, changing the voice of the existence of the state.In the first part of this paper, it combs the development of the Chinese traditional language view as well as in the Late Qing Dynasty and during the period of May 4th Movement. In the second part, it expounds Lu Xun's theory of language from four aspects: first, the relationship between language and existence; second, the relationship between language and history; third, isomorphism of languages and thoughts; fourth, the relationship between power and discourse. In the third part, it proceeds from Lu Xun's literary practice, focuses on the text and careful perusal. The paper analyses the language writing practice of Lu Xun from the'novel, prose, essay', three kinds of stylistic creation. Nevertheless, Lu Xun's theory of language is built up on two aspects:one is to write classical Chinese traditional culture and the deconstruction of history; the other is their own creative writing practice as the main language construct. Through practice, Lu Xun cracked the history using language, restored the absurd subsistent state of the Chinese.
