Besides the preface and the conclusion,the thesis On Li Shutong 'Art Education Thought is made of five parts.The chapter " Li Shutong in the Modernization of Chinese art education " briefly expounded the basic problems in the modernization in the art education of China;to explore the evolution of the idea of the arts education modernization,as well as the four basic characteristics of Li Shutong's art education thought:humanistic education,integration between China and the west,a sense of crisis,art of life. These four points constitute the main contents of this paper and innovation.The Chapter "humanities education in the Art education," focused on the core issue of Li Shutong's art education thought.It investigated the humanities education and its structure that Li Shutong was accepted,and the idea of humanistic education that he advocated,as well as the successful application in the practice of art education.Li Shutong really is a model of humanistic education and he itself is an art.The Chapter " integration between China and the west in art education" mainly discussed the contribution that Li Shutong made on the issues between China and the west,descripted and analysed Li Shutong's practice in the western art education;and focused on the basic content and value of Li Shutong's art education thought of the integration between China and the west.The Chapter" the sense of crisis in art education" focused on the characteristics of the times in Li Shutong's art education thought.The article studied the causes of Li Shutong's sense of crisis in five aspects,and explored the concept and its implementation of Li Shutong's "art saving nation" and "art saving human".The Chapter "the art of life in art education" focused on how Li Shutong achieved his artistic life in his life,in particular how to concerne about the issues of art of life in the way of the world outside.This paper investigated how Li Shutong gradually changed from the thing of art into the spirit landscape of an art in three specific art forms.The main innovation includes in this paper as follows.Firstly,the paper systematically studied Li Shutong's art education thought.Li Shutong's art education thought has its deep background in humanities education and under the guidance of art education thought in the humanities education as the core,with strengthening the efforts of integration of Chinese and the western art and practice,and to display their spirit of the times in art education thought by both thinking of the "art saving nation" and "art saving human".No matter how harsh the environment is,he always takes "art of life" for the goal of exploring the ultimate meaning of beauty and life and has create the beautiful art wholly.In my opinion,it is a bold innovation to explore and try to construct the system of Li Shutong' art education thought with the core of the humanities education,the approaches of the integration between China and the west,and a sense of crisis,the home for the arts of life. Secondly,the core of the humanistic education is highlighted in Li Shutong's art education thought.On this basis,it seeks to establish the harmony between man and society with the integration between China and the west as well as a sense of crisis,and to construct the harmony between man and nature through the "heart of art" and to achieve their own aesthetic harmony through the arts.This unique research perspective contains a certain theoretical value.Thirdly,if the art education is understood such a cource as from practicing the thing of art to cultivating the heart of art,to creating an art and the last achievements in the arts of life,it is helpful to improve the aesthetic subject gradually how to accept the initiative in the art education,art of life is a life of beauty.From the aesthetic point of view,it conforms well with the essential requirement of arts to explore the rationality of Li Shutong's art education thought.Fourthly,the thought and practice of Li Shutong's art education are consistent with the current idea of "eco-style arts education",which the academic put forward. It is a very good example for "coo-style arts education" that Li Shutong was of the completely and profoundly artistic qualities and the great success in practice of his art education.In my opinion,no matter how the times and the environment change, the idea of art education,which is "art of life",will not change in the essential meaning.
