Russian Literature Soaked Chinese Modern Prose Writers

Chinese modern prose depends on extensively absorbing the alimentation of foreign literature to develop and mature itself. The establishment of modern prose, on the one hand inherits and carries forward the excellent tradition of Chinese ancient prose, on the other hand actively absorbs the spiritual nourishment from foreign modern prose. The import amd introduction of foreign prose into China accelerated the pullulation of Chinese modern prose effectively, enriched its literary expressional techniques, enhanced Chinese prose writers'ability of representing life and expressing thought. Russian literature's influnce to Chinese modern prose is very profound. Many prose writers'creation have been influence by Russian literature such as Li Dazhao, Qu Qiubai, Lu Xun, Ba Jin, Li Ni, Lu Li, He Qifang, etc. All of the Chinese modern prose writers related with Russian literature directly or indirectly more or less. Many modern prose writers have once translated Russian literature works, for example, Lu Xun, Zhou Zuoren, Qu Qiubai, Yu Dafu, Li Ni, Lu Li, Ba Jin etc. were all interpreter of Russian literature. The consanguinity between Chinese modern prose writer and Russian literature necessarily impacted their creation, so Chinese modern prose inescapably got dense Russian literature background.The first chapter of the dissertation is a exordium part, which summarizes the influence of Russian literature to Chinese modern prose writers, sums up the acceptance styles of Chinese modern prose to Russian literature, probes into the reason to the forming of these different styles. The three chapters of the straight matter respectively do case study to three Chinese modern prose writers. Russian literature, mainly Turgenev's works'influence to Li Ni's proses rest with two aspects: on the aspect of format, Li Ni's proses use Turgenev proses'narrating way of"tender whisper", the theme conception bearing"thinker's profoundity and acutance"and the scene depiction of"aptly carrying out given assignment"for reference; on the aspect of content, Li Ni's proses have accordant content with Turgenev's proses: the remnant dream of"superabundant person", the solitude and loneliness of weary drifting person, the flaming rose-like peak of poetic perfection of love and the deep realistic feeling caused by tribulation and opposability. The third chapter researches Shen Congwen's proses under the elicitation of Turgenev, analyzing Random Notes of Xiang Travel influenced by Sportsman's Sketches. On the aspect of writing technique, by learning from Turgenev's scenery delineation, Shen Congwen's proses created an effect of making social affairs to protrude on Southwest special lucid climate and geography background; on the aspect of content, in the enlightenment of Sportsman's Sketches, Shen Congwen wrote out the hearty life consciousness same with Russia muzhik and survival condition different from them about people living in the west of Hunan Province. The author explores reason of the difference mainly consists in different races's character with which the writers affiliated, different writing purposes, different literature conception and writing gesture. In the surplus discussion, by analyzing the influence of Russian literature to Ba Jin's proses, the author probes into the factor of Russian literature in Chinese modern prose research.
