Pursuit For Personality Moral In Modern Society

This paper is based on the reasoned process among which moral was declining and moral language is in the disordered state. From this process, the author explained a unique perspective of moral theory which is put forward by one of the Eastern Europe representatives of new Marxism-Agnes Heller whose moral Trilogy are General Ethics, A Philosophy of Morals and An Ethics of Personality. Based on the survival of humanity in the modern condition and double contingency of personal survival, Heller revealed the important moral question " Good persons exist-how are they possible?" by using of the implicit rules, double-nature of (self-) reflection, freedom and responsibility from the post-modern view of ethical perspectives in modern society. In essence, she also demonstrated the legitimacy of "Good persons exist" from these three major aspects in modern society. In her entire moral theories, she ultimately resorted to the formation of personality which used to overcome the cultural crisis and moral anomie in reality. Her so-called personality moral can be described as a character's individual actions in their own special way could establish a practice relationship consciously with the contemporary universally valid ethical rules, which is the sublation of the alienation moral and particularity moral. Heller's moral theory and personality moral appeal, on the one hand, reflected the exchange and interaction of ideas about cultural criticism and moral reconstruction of many contemporary thinkers, on the other hand, inherited the moral thought and the moral spirit of Marx and Engels theory. Moral thought of Marx and Engels contains moral which not only can be used as a theory but also as ethical practice. Heller's moral theory mainly deepens and expands the ethical practice to look forward to get the formation of personality moral in modern society, which helped to promote the contemporary development of Marx and Engels' ethical thought. Her theory attempted to combine deontology and virtue-teleology.By doing this, she wanted to make sure the appropriateness of various ethics rules and to maintain the validity of the traditional virtue in modern society. The manifestation of the combination is the existence of numerous "good man" in society. All these "good man" is not only the starting point of Heller's entire moral theory, but also its destination and purpose. In general, Heller moral theory has a profound effect on the modern cultural critique and moral reconstruction.
