The Qing Dynasty in the ancient times is the turning point from esthetic culture towards modern fracture. During the time calligraphy art also gradually changes along with the production of the esthetic consciousness in tablet study, and finally forms the difference from the traditionally theoretic system of tablet study. Not only is the research on the Qing Dynasty tablet study theory helpful to our understanding of the development of calligraphy art but also lets us sneak a peek at the development of the ancient esthetic culture. This thesis takes the esthetic consciousness as a breakthrough point, attempts to organize the development vein of Qing Dynasty tablet study from a brand-new angle and has a thorough study on the occurrence and the development of the esthetic consciousness of Qing Dynasty tablet study under the classical esthetics theory frame.The esthetic consciousness of Qing Dynasty tablet study sprouted in the epigraphy works from the end of Ming dynasty till the beginning of Qing Dynasty. With the strengthening of early awareness of calligraphy theory, in the middle of the Qing Dynasty Ruan invented "two of" advocacy of tablet study, and formally established the theory of tablet study. Latter, after the package of Baoshichen, Kangyouwei established the esthetic system of tablet study.Kang's theory on the one hand for the traditional book on the aesthetic meaning broadened the areas, and played a positive role in promoting the development of its aesthetic consciousness, on the other hand its own radical words later led to the over-exaggerated role in Beiban. Since the people of insight from Ruan Yuan "to expand the posts monument" of good will, through Baoshichen and kangyouwei's interpretation, the narrow view also hindered the full development of modern calligraphy.
