Study Of Contemporary Chinese Christian Mode Of Transmission

In contemporary China, more and more researchers pay more attention to study of Christian. But there are few studies of Christian with theories and methods of communication, which are important ways to study the situation and future of Christian in China. Why so many people choose Christian today? What influence does Christian have in contemporary China? What problem do people face in the process of believing Christian? How about the future and development of Christian in China? On perspective of religion anthropology and communication, the study focus on the methods and strategies of Christian communication, on the one hand research the way of Christian communication in China contrasting with historical documents; on the other hand, choosing peasants and college students as two kinds of objects of research, we spent one year to do field research and collect first-hand materials of Christian communication.The main text of the study is devided into five parts:First chapter reviews the history and development of Christian in China, to sum up the successs and loss of Christian communication in China in history.The second chapter discusses the communication ways and patterns of Christian by researching the different kinds of organization of Christian such as three-self church and family chunch.The third chapter is a thematic case study focus on college students of a Beijing college. Through long time of participatory observations and depth interviews, discusses the new way and character of Christian communication.The forth chapter is also a case study. The object of research is rural area and people to learn about how and why Christian can be communicated in rural areas.The last chapter researches the relationship of Christian communication and mass media. Now mass media become more and more important in our social life,and it will provide good and effective ways and methods to guide and control Christian communication in China in the future.
