Study On Theoretical Consciousness Of Chinese Communists On The Process Of Marxism Sinicization

Since the May 4th Movement that witnessed widespread Marxism all over China, China has undergone several stages, namely revolution, construction and reform, building a well-off society and accelerating socialist modernization. During this period, Chinese communists, under the guidance of Marxism, achieved theoretical consciousness and have successfully adapted Marxism to Chinese conditions through their persistent exploration of the new-democratic revolution, socialist revolution and construction, which has ensured the up-to-date Party ideology, theories and obtained great achievements in China's revolution, construction and reform. It is this high degree of theoretical consciousness which makes an irreplaceable historic and practical contribution to the formation and development of sinicization of Marxism that has been advanced this process and turning its new pages.Based upon a profound analysis of the current studies of Marxism, the author tries to made a comprehensive and seminal dissection and discusses on the theoretical consciousness of Chinese communists from the angle of which is indispensable but comparatively inadequately studied, through a full insight into the historical backgrounds at different stages of sinicization of Marxism with corresponding interdisciplinary principles based upon the Marxist stand, viewpoint and method. On the basis of a systematic analysis of the development path of theoretical consciousness, and in view of China's great revolution, construction and reform, the author takes Chinese communists'theoretical consciousness in different periods as the thread, reveals its inherent law, interprets its theoretical value and practical significance, recommends on some strategic measures to further effect theoretical consciousness in future, and analyze Chinese communists' crucial role as the main body of practice, which winds its studies into a systematic logical system.Introduction is the presentation on the origin of the proposition of study, the theoretical value and practical significance, analysis of connotations and denotations of the major concepts, and review of the current studies on Marxism both at home and abroad, and presentation of the methodology applied in this thesis as well as some innovations and suggestions on this topic.In Part one, the author systematically reviews the development of Chinese communists'theoretical consciousness from the May 4th Movement of 1919 to the new age of building an all-round well-off society in which socialists accelerated experience on constructions of the sinicization of Marxism, and a revelation of the ideological features as well as historical angle of Chinese communists'theoretical consciousness from birth, development to maturity.Part two is a demonstration of Chinese communists'vital role as the main body of the theoretical consciousness. It is an indication which raises the theme of the text to a higher level that the theoretical consciousness owes to the common influences of leading figures and ordinary party members through a dialectical analysis of their respective roles, that the study of Marxist theories is a prerequisite to the theoretical consciousness through a review of the history of the study with increasing efforts, that the strong sense of theoretical innovation of Chinese communists is a key to the theoretical consciousness based upon an analysis of the sense, and that the transformation from theoretical consciousness to practical consciousness as well as the impetus for the progress of sinicization of Marxism are the final objectives of Chinese communists through an exposition of the dialectical relations between theoretical consciousness and practical consciousness.In the next part, through a study and summarization of the fundamental features and laws of the formation of the theoretical consciousness in the course of sinicization of Marxism, the author presents the path of the theoretical consciousness, which is its formation from the combination of Marxism with China's reality, the experiences and lessons learned from the socialist practice both at home and abroad, the study of and resolution to all sorts of problems with the socialist practice, and the integration and interaction of Marxism and Chinese traditional culture.Part four reveals the critical role and cardinal value of the theoretical consciousness in the four respects:acceleration in sinicization of Marxism, reinforcement of CPC's progressiveness, modernization of Chinese traditional culture and recommendation on some experiences of theoretical innovation to other countries with both theoretical guidance and real practicality as its characteristics. Part five explores a series of strategies of high feasibility in the light of difficulties and challenges during the formation of the theoretical consciousness from the prospective of practice, such as strengthening the structural mechanism of the theoretical consciousness, raising the whole nation's quality of the consciousness through the promotion of Marxist theories, handling the relations among inheritance, reference and development in the course of sinicization of Marxism correctly, and vigorously developing the studies of Marxist theories, etc.. The implementation of those measures functions as a guide to a further achievement of the consciousness. Chinese naturalization of Marxism, in its boundless and constant progress, will keep pace with the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics rather than being a matter once and for all. Furthermore, Chinese communists shoulder heavy responsibilities for their courageous exploration of the theoretical consciousness in the course of sinicization of Marxism. Their exploration will never end because the socialism with Chinese characteristics is forging ahead.
