This thesis aims at take an in-depth study at the strategic status of China-Russia Relationship at a perspective of International Strategy and the approach of geopolitics, with the circumstance of the dramatically change in international relations at the era of post Cold War. The evolutional process of China-Russia Relationship and the cooperative relationship at relevant realm has been systematically analyzed in this thesis. Furthermore, countermeasure for obstacles in China-Russia Relationship and predictions on the relationship were presented in this thesis as well.The study on China-Russia Relationship plays a key role at both theory and practice dimensionality, especially in contemporary world. First, China and Russia are both polarization and has tremendous status in the world. The prospect of China-Russia Relationship would influence the evolutional process and the direction profoundly, since the international system is experiencing a momentousness reformation. Second, China and Russia, as neighboring country, are two biggest countries with the most populous, fastest-developing economy and most power in the Eurasia. China-Russia Relationship has always been a key factor which directly influences China's National Security then the peace and stability around China. Third, economic benefits coming from a perfect China-Russia relationship would be enormous cause the economic complementarities between the two.This thesis researches China-Russia Relationship in an international strategic perspective, with the method of geopolitics in the first place. Historical analysis method, furthermore, has been used in this study. In order to master the evolution of China-Russia Relationship since the disintegration of the Soviet Union, this thesis checked all the historical stages in China-Russia Relationship since 1991. The method of literature research and comparative analysis has been used to understand the various government documents and Academic literature about China-Russia Relationship. Through the continues research on various fields in China-Russia Relationship, both a understanding on past and present and a systematic recognition of China-Russia Relationship would be established. The method of descriptive study and summarize-analyze has been used to present and explain the phenomena and rules in China-Russia Relationship. This explanation bases on the logic of geopolitical theory and theory of national strategy. Through the induction and analysis on concrete situation in China-Russia Relationship, this thesis uncovers the reasons, finds the problem, suggests countermeasure and summarizes the rules and foreground of China-Russia Relationship. The method of case study has been used to research a certain field in China-Russia Relationship.The difference on comprehensive national power between the two has been decreased for the last decades. Balance of power is always the base for comparative security, then would be a key factor which most probably leads to solve problems in a cooperative manner. A stable political foundation for the relationship between the two nations has been established in the last 20 years, which leads to a friendly circumstance in relieving distrust arising from misunderstanding. The similar purpose among the two nations to self-develop contributes to the grand diplomacy and security strategy pursuing for peace and stability in surrounding area, and leads to good-neighborliness and friendliness policy among the two nations. China and Russia has many same\similar view point on many international and regional affairs and many common interests. All of these provide advantage and driving force for the healthy development for the China-Russia Relationship.
