Industrial Analyzing Towards The Causes And Functions And Mechanism Of International Capital Flow

According to traditional theory,international capital flow is caused by such factors as capital yield spread,exchange rate changes,international balances and risks.The dissertation,based on the above-mentioned achievements of classical theory,claims that international capital flow is the major means and method to realize the division of labor for international industries and the restructuring of global industries. Focusing on the industrial factors and functional results of transnational capital flow,this dissertation considers international capital flow to be the internal variables in the process of industrial transition,and progresses with its practical means through such factors as the flow-in and flow-out of international capital involving capital, technology and management,and its effective disposition and restructuring with the host country's labor,natural resources,raw materials and production conditions. It studies the internal connections between industrial transition and international capital flow from the angle of the disposition of capital flow and reveals the changing of industrial factors among regions. The main purpose of the dissertation is to study how the flow of industrial factors promotes and influences industrial structure and upgrading as started by international capital flow.The dissertation studies the causes and functions of international capital flow in fives aspects. Chapter One is the introduction. Starting from the research background and the theme,it analyzes the significance of the theme,reflects on the past and present researches related to the theme and advances our major points of view. Chapter Two examines the current theory. It introduces the current theory of international capital flow,investigates direct foreign investment and industrial development as well as the role and effect of transnational investment in industrial development,and points out the inefficiency and imperfection of the current theoretical analyses on the basis of the new situation for current international capital flow. Chapter Three comprises the structure of theory. By studying how international capital flow realizes the division of labor for international industries and the restructuring of global industries,it analyzes the causes and characteristics of transnational capital flow,states the positive results and inspecting methods of international capital flow and industrial connections,makes the theoretical research on the improvement of industrial factors,the upgrading of industrial structure and the internationalization of industrial development,and hence establishes the overall relationship between international capital flow and industrial progress. Chapter Four analyzes such factors as capital,technology and innovation affected by international capital flow,in particular how the improvement of the three factors influences industrial competitive power and advantages. By comparing the risks and the benefits of the disposition of global factors on the different methods of international capital flow,we come to the conclusion that the industrial competitive advantages in the future depends on capital,technology and management rather than on non-natural factors. Chapter Five discusses international capital flow and the relationship between industries,and then advances some suggestions and measures concerning the present foreign capital policies in our country.
