| The study on the adjustment of industrial structure is an important topic in Industrial Economics. As we know, the process of one nation's economic development is actually a process of its industrial structure becoming more rational and more advanced. To sustain steady and healthy development of Chinese economy, it is necessary to explore and discuss how to adjust Chinese industrial structure by using capital market mechanism. So it is important to research how to combine industrial capital with financial capital.At the beginning, this thesis introduces the subject, method and the train of thoughts. The research work on the subject is of great importance to the theory and practice of economic development as it is written on the basis of combining theory, history and reality.The thesis is divided into 4 chapters.Chapter 1 is an introduction. At first, it discusses and makes a historical review of the industry and industrial structure theories. From those we know that common characteristics are the basic principle, which the same industry has. So it is not strange that the concept of industry is unfixed. We can divide national economy into different industries by different research purposes. Then the thesis introduces several classifications of industry, which are concerned with the following research. There is no doubtful that the most important classification is C.Clark's. In his classification, Clark thought that the basis is the connection that economy activities have with the nature.At the end of the chapter, the thesis examines the general theories of the development and adjustment industrial structure, and draws a conclusion that the kernel and purpose of adjusting industrial structure is optimize the industrial structure. It points out that there are two mechanics which can adjust the industrial structure,one is the planned way and the other is market regulation. It is also suggested that transformation exists in the development of industry economy.In chapter 2, the thesisthe thesis divides the development of our nation's industrial structure into three phases according to remarkable alteration and different economic systems following different industrial policies. Because of the introduction of market mechanism, the supply began to connect with the demand. The nation's economy then turned to a special phase: adjustment of industrial structure.Then the thesis turns to examine the main characters and issues of Chinese industrial structure. Although we have made the remarkable development in our economic area, the structure contradiction has not been really solved, which has become the key factor that prevents national economy from developing. Theoretically, we can see that the main reason is the dislocation of both the demand structure and the supply structure. Therefore, how to adjust rationally our national industrial structure and how to realize the cooperative change of our industrial structure is not only an urgent realistic problem to be solved but also a theoretical problem requiring careful research. Market competition with the development of technology as a whole in world economy, the technology progress with the characteristics of revolution and innovation has already become the top factor affecting the economic growth worldwide. Developed countries readjust their industrial structure: on the one hand, they migrate their traditional industries to developing countries; on the other hand, they develop their new industries. Combined with the tendency of the industrial structure in the developed countries, the thesis describes the overall observation and evaluation of our nation's industrial structure transformation in the near future.
