| Family-managed enterprise is the main kind of Chinese private enterprise, which is the integrated outcome of the enterprises scale, traditional culture and specific social environment. With the deepening of China's reform and opening up to the outside world, it has witnessed urgent and profound change to our country's cultural background and social environment, for instance, the expansion of economy globalization, the sound development of market economy system, the deepening of the reform to our political system, and the progress of science and technology of each passing day, all of which, have brought about great shock to people's value and the way about how to manage enterprise in a deeper-level as well. Meanwhile, after experienced over 20 years leaping development and accumulation, the considerable scale of private enterprises make it vital important to know better and master its management so as to facilitate their marching with time, make continual system innovation, conception innovation and management innovation, challenge fierce market competition and finally realize their sustainable development. However, since 90s, there comes management crisis in many private enterprises after reaching to some scale, which further indicated that the study of clan-managed enterprises is not only of practically but also theoretically significant importance.In the first part of this thesis, it illuminated its own study meaning and goal, summed up relative academic views from home and abroad and pointed out its main ways of study, framework and main points of view.In the second part, it pointed out the concept and features of clan-managed enterprises and pointed out that management in clan-managed enterprises is just a way of management, and the relation between family-owned enterprises and the family-management enterprises is just like that of State-owned enterprises and the State-managed ones. The top differences between family-managed enterprises and contemporary management ones include the relationship, autocratic leadership, the distribution between property and management right.In the third part, it analyzed the development of family-managed enterprises and pointed out that the traditional culture is their deep shaping issue and the scale and technology condition is their foundation. Furthermore, outside environment is also one of their key shaping issues.In the fourth part, it probed into the inherent contradiction in family-management enterprises, and indicated that, with the expansion of their scale, the increasing use of technology and fiercer market competition, the disadvantages of this kind of management is getting more and more obvious. Therefore, the management in private enterprises must march with time and make continual innovation referring to the evolvement and the general rule of the development ofclan-managed enterprises in developed countries theoretically and practically.Finally, it disclosed the evolvement trend of and approach to China's family-managed enterprise. Considering the influence of traditional culture, its form can be preserved, but its inner management concept and essence must be changed step-by-step and gradually according to China's practice. It is very important that strictly parochial family ideas must be broke though, wider-scope enterprises value be established, modern management system be introduced, system innovation continued and the transfer from random management to that according to relative laws and regulation be carried out.After the analysis of evolvement of management, international-wide comparison and on-the-spot survey, it pointed out that the introduction of developed countries' management to most of our private enterprises without any innovation is far from the best choice, and it is also very stupid for them strictly followed traditional way of family-managed without taking present political, economic and environmental situation into consideration.
