Studies On Chinese Urban Households' Economic Structure

The dissertation defines the households' economic behavior as aggregation of earning income behavior, consumption behavior, and investment and property accumulation behavior. Households' economic variable composition which be generated by their economic behavior, and their proportional relations comprise the basic meaning of households' economic structure. In other words, households' economic structure consists of income resource and expenditure composition, consumption structure and asset composition.The dissertation aims to put forward some pertinent policy suggestions in order to stimulate the urban households consumption, investment and Chinese economic growth on the basis of the studies of the law and particularity, internal drive and influence factors of Chinese urban households' economic structure and its evolutional process during China's economic transition.In order to reach this goal, firstly, the Part One studies the characteristics of urban households' economic behavior in different economic system from an angle of institutional change, and expounds profound influence of the changing process of the employment, income distribution and social security system on urban households' economic behavior.On the basis of defining the basic meaning of urban households' economic structure, an evolutional phases of urban households' economic structure since Chinese economic transition is divided using cluster analysis method in the Part Two. In addition, actuality of urban households' economic structure is evaluated, and the main issues existed in the research and present condition of urban households' economic structure are indicated.Based on the sample data from urban households' income-expenditure survey conducted by the national statistic bureau in Part Three, the studies analyzes the change of the income resource composition in the period of economic transition. Through the comparison of the international experience, difference of households' income resource composition between at home and abroad is illustrated.In Part Four, the studies primarily discusses Chinese urban households' consumption-save ratio. Its main content contains the ways of realizing consumption-smooth of urban households, changing mechanism of urban households' expenditure-save ratio, and average consumption propensity type of them among the provinces in China, and so on.The dissertation mainly analyzes the consumption expenditure composition of urban households in the Part Five including the model formation of consumption expenditure composition of them, ELES model analysis of consumption expenditure composition, influence ofthe income distribution factors and provincial difference on urban households' consumption expenditure composition using Panal Data model. In the final of this Part, the studies also considers the consumption pattern and type of consumption expenditure composition of urban households among the provinces in China,In the Part Six, the urban households' property accumulation and investment structure are analyzes during China's economic transition. After the positive studying of financial asset possessive volume structure and its incremental structure, decision-making models on optimal proportional investment of urban households are further studied.The Part Seven gives a quantitative forecast analysis to the main economic variables and economic structure of urban households. Especially, it calculates urban households' per capita consumption level in 2003-2010 using error- correction model based on integration theory.Summary speaking, the dissertation sufficiently demonstrates that institutional change is the internal drive and fundamental restricted factor of urban households' economic structure change, the extent of institutional change determines the position of urban households' economic structure change, and the direction of institutional change influence the trend of urban households' economic structure change".The dissertation is composed of seven parts in logical order besides preface and a conclus...
