Study On The Impacting Issues On Chinese SMEs International Involvement As Well As The Internationalized Approaches Of SMEs

Small and Medium-size Enterprises(SMEs) have begun to play a critical role in Chinese economy , society as well as in international trade. However, Advancing information and communications technologies , the globalization of markets , and other facilitating trends are largely occurring in SMEs external environment and are consequently outside of manager' s control. To cope with the changed environment , The orientation of international involvement shall be a definite choice for SMEs. Otherwise, Chinese SMEs will suffer the limitation of international markets and development. However , SMEs usually lack the resources, capabilities, and market power of traditional multinational enterprises compared to their larger rivals, Further more ,Many impacting issues will be an obstacle and a barrier in the road of SMEs international involvement .Very little is known about the impacting issues now. Hence, how to find out the structural-model of impacting issues has been a very crucial problem in front of all levels government, entrepreneur and scholars . To solve the problem , We conducted in-depth interviews with large number senior managers from SMEs in southern China' s pearl river delta area to gain a better understanding of impacting issues on SMEs international involvement, Combined with some cases study and a search of relevant literature, we devised a questionnaire and conducted a field of above hundred SMEs , Using all validated data we collected from an empirical study of SMEs , we devised a six-factors structural model that reveals the effect and impacting of the collective issues on the international performance of SMEs .Based on the detailed analyses of this structural model , we propose an available and practical international approaches of SMEs , governmental favorable policy to SMEs based on SMEs ability of control, resources commitment as well as dissemination risk.
