| This dissertation is an investigation on Civic Education and strategic proposals thereof for its implementation under the macro-background of harmonious Socialist society construction. At the high sight of the harmonious society construction, the dissertation focuses on the nature and characteristics of civic education. It investigates on, with theories of the harmonious society, the significance, principles, goal, mechanism and mode of Civic Education. In this way, measures to promote Civic Education are analyzed politically, with stress on the foothold during the whole process of harmonious society construction and the ultimate target of Civic Education: to cultivate qualified civics of all-round development to fit the request of a harmonious society.The formation of our constructing a harmonious society is developed from Karl Marx and Lenin, and then sublimed with our socialist practice. The basic connotation of harmonious socialist society includes: democracy and rule of law, equality and justice, honesty, credibility and fraternity, vigor, orderly stability, harmonious coexistence of human being and nature. As the inner request of socialist developing as well as the great feature of socialist society, it is urgent to construct a harmonious society to consolidate the Party's leadership. Among various definitions of civics in different researching fields, this dissertation defines it with the notion of state by pointing out that its essence is citizenship. Civic education is a kind of comprehensive, systematic and harmonious education, which is carried out by a state to cultivate its civics to adjust to a harmonious society. It is the harmonious society that puts forward the requisition of civic education, featured to be integrate, connective, progressive, varied but unified, subjective and legal.Civic education is the spiritual impetus of a harmonious society construction. To be aware of it can be an important manner for us to promote civics' all-round development. What's more, the main principle of civic education is harmony, while its target is to develop civics in all round harmoniously. As to its impetus mechanism, management mechanism, and assurance mechanism, four kinds of manners are put forward in the dissertation: participative, persuasive, consultative, and cultivating.This dissertation, based on the basic theories concerning harmonious society construction, claims that Civic Education includes: education of scientific views on development, education of appropriate ideas on nature, education of proper opinions on the society as well as education of sound concepts on interpersonal contact. As for the education of scientific views on development, this dissertation holds that scientific views on development perfectly agree with our task of building an affluent and harmonious society with all-round development, and are derived from and at the same time enrich the Marxism Development Theory. These views have absorbed the latest achievement on the theories of global development, i.e. fused the notion of "harmony" with development; As for the education of appropriate ideas on nature, this dissertation puts forward a harmonious co-development between human beings... |
