In China the movement of rural labor from countryside to cities is an inexorable trend of its industrialization and urbanization. This movement is not only a process of China's breaking away from conventional regime restriction, but intrinsic requirement of its industrialization and urbanization as well. Essentially, it is an adjusting process of realization of the rights. The process is proceeding in the specific binary economic and social framework of China and under the restriction of relevant regulations. It is affected importantly by the regulation restriction. This process reveals that only basing on the realization of the rights of rural labor movement can the migration of rural labor to cities accomplish, can the rural-urban income gap be narrowed and eliminated eventually, and can the progress of China's industrialization and urbanization succeed more rapidly. The present study, which is against a macro-background of the particular binary economic framework of China, centers on the realization of the rights of rural labor movement. The study starts with analysis of the movement of rural labor and extends gradually. It explores the economic rights as primary motivation of the movement and the gain of the economic rights as the goal of the movement. To ensure the realization of the economic rights, therefore, is a causal inference of this research. Following this logic, I attempt to construct a theoretical system on economic rights protection of the rural labor movement and provide an approach to measuring the extent of the realization of the rights. This study suggests that the rights of rural labor movement are characterized by multiplicity, namely are a set of various advantages that consists of employment, income, social insurance, sustained promotion and so on. On the one hand, rural labor choose to move to maximize their economic rights and promote themselves. On the other hand, in current system, rural labor become weak group after moving to cities. Some unfair regulations hinder the realization of their rights and cause discrimination in employment, wages and social insurance. During the period that China accelerates changes in its social-economic formation, the protection of labor's rights is a prominent and universal social-economic concern. This paper argues that the income gap is the most important driving force, and meanwhile changes in relative economic status also have significant influence. It analyzesthe effects of conventional economic regime on the realization of the rights of rural labor movement and suggests that under the conventional economic regime the allocation of labor resource is restricted by the regulation of administrative dominance and its rights are suppressed seriously. The paper also analyzes in deep details the issue of discrimination caused by status demarcation between urban and rural labor and the regime factors that hinder the realization of the rights of rural labor movement. In addition, the paper compares the supply of rural labor with the classic supply theory, and analyzes the contradiction between the supply of rural labor and the infinite absorption of urban economic departments. The paper studies the efficiency loss of planned allocation of labor resource from the point of view of economic growth and explores the overall economic effects of the rural labor movement on economic development, industrialization, urbanization and social development. It then goes a step further to demonstrate that the process of the realization of the rights of rural labor movement is also a process of accelerating China's economic development and advancing its industrialization and urbanization. These two processes help each other forward and carry forward cooperatively.Employment right of rural labor movement is the basic right among all the rights and is the basis of realizing the other rights. Under the condition that market mechanism is the fundamental mode of allocation, the realization of employment right depends on the independence of the factors attending the markets and the extent of the interaction between the factors. Using the theory of property right, I analyze the function of and the problems with property right of rural labor, enterprise organization and market regulations in realizing employment right. Especially, I suggest that the existence of binary labor market system, the incompleteness of employment mechanism and the short of public services for employment bring about difficulties in realizing employment right. Empirical analysis is performed to demonstrate this point.Income right is the core right of rural labor movement and destination of the realization of employment right. Using theories of ownership, market mechanism determination, human capital, wages and distribution, I analyze the ownership basis of income right determination of rural labor movement, labor market mechanism and factors that affect income right. Some empirical analyses are carried out to reveal the asymmetry between wage income of rural labor and their labor efforts and to show the extent to which income right of rural labor movement is damaged. In this paper I discuss the demand of rural labor movement for social insurance and...
