This study focuses its topic on the conditions of chinese national interests in the modern time. National interests which are the supreme benefits of a nation, determine the standards of the development of the nation and the level of material and spiritual living of its people. National interests also represent the international prestige and dignity of a nation.China has gained a great deal of interests and met many challenges and difficults as well in the process of opening to the outside world since 1978.Marxism pays great attention to the national interests. It considers national interests as the starting point of a nation's foreign policies. A country should safeguard its national interests in foreign affairs. In the process of leading China's reform and opening, Mr. Den Xiaoping put forward that national interests are the guiding principle in international contracts and a nation' s interests and sovereignty should be always put in the first place. Therefore, It becomes a vivid character of Den xiaoping' s thought of international strategy to analyses the phenomena of international society and deal with the connection among countries from exiting national interests.Based on this point and under the guidance of the national interest view of Marxism — Leninism, the study tries to put China into the marobackground of the modern time and world and to examine the situation of the national interests of modern China.The Stady can be divided into preface and four charpters.
