This thesis is mainly focused on the sanctions in the field of international politics. Special attentions are paid to the study of sanctions and analysis of countermeasures and experiences of china's anti-sanctions. The whole thesis can be generally classified into two parts--introduction and main body, and the latter one can be further divided into seven chapters.The significance, purpose and research method of this theme are illustrated in the part of introduction, and special emphasis are put on the developments of this issue both in China and abroad. Based on the forgoing discussion, the author studied the sanctions theoretically, cited cases to illustrate the issue, and focused on the study of china's anti-sanctions.The author first referred to the two main issues related to the thesis, and illustrated the main content of the thesis is the sanctions in the field of international politics. Comparisons are made to illustrate the differences between the sanctions of world economy and that of the international politics, and the characteristics of the two different concepts are expounded. To make the thesis more coherent in time, ancient sanctions both in China and abroad are briefly stated.In the second chapter, the author discussed the various contents of sanctions, made special efforts to study theoretically the meanings and characteristics of sanctions in the field of politics, diplomacy, economy, culture, military affairs and law, and explained practically how to impose these sanctions according to the various times background, purposes of sanctions and the countries sanctions imposed on.In the third chapter, the author specialized in the Effect Evaluation Index System of Sanctions and Anti-sanctions, and managed to demonstrate the impacts that each index brought to the Evaluation Effect , and the significance of index system to the effects of sanctions and anti-sanctions. The fourth chapter is the core of the thesis. The author studied the standing and effects of sanctions in international politics, analyzed the impacts of sanctions on the countries on which sanctions are imposed and the related countries, and argued the developing trends of sanctions.In the following chapter, the author focused on the sanctions of the United Nations.
