Ideology does not stay unchanged over the human history, but rather it varies with inheritance given certain conditions and within a domain. It is part of history and life, and is in line with social formation and development stages of human beings. It can find its intrinsic logic in ideology theories of Marx, and can be further testified by social practices and fully embodied in ideology structure.Internally speaking, ideology is embodied in interaction of values, theories and policy proposition; while externally, it is a set of concept symbols that attests, relates and coagulates with each other. Ideology has the center on value concepts internally, and marks itself with core concepts externally. As for ideology itself, its conversion indicates continuous structure shift and generating another set of concept symbols from values, theories and policy proposition. Among this, the most prominent thing is that the core concept in concept symbol system has changed in a way that involving historical connection, logic self-consistency as well as realistic renewal. Therefore, a structural judgment over a certain ideology in a sense, equals a judgment over core concept enshrined in values, theories and policy proposition. The largest change of social structure in China today is the rise of private enterprise owners. The rise happens due to the profound changes in social structure, interests pattern as well as the structural part in the front of ideology which is the most heterogeneous compared with intrinsic social structure. These changes can be attributed to China's economic structure reforms. This paper aims to study contemporary conversion of Chinese ideology. It chooses the perspective of the rise of private enterprise owner from a variety of fields involving economy, politics, culture and society. If it is to summarize the full content of China's ideology with just one sentence, that should be to answer the question of"what is socialism and how to build socialism"in practice. Understanding the two questions is obvious the primary task of contemporary ideology. And the result of doing this is to facilitate social conversion through socialism concepts and models, and thus brings along conversion of contemporary ideology in China.Analysis of contemporary ideology conversion in an effort to build socialism system and ideology from the perspective of private enterprise owner is a great explorative journey of Overpassing the Cafudin Valley of the Capitalism; while improving socialism system and ideology is a conversion practice to build socialism with creativity and Chinese characteristics. The three elements of"revolutionary","constructive"and"harmony"constitute the a conversion path for contemporary Chinese ideology. The remarkable achievements made in building socialism with Chinese characteristics can be attributed to the reform and opening-up policy whose success has benefited from conversion of contemporary ideology. The two continuous conversions of contemporary Chinese ideology from the time when P.R.China was built, to new period and to new century and new stage have not compromised the reign of Communist Party, instead, it strengthened its capacity as a party in power. The reason lies in the"return to"the Marxism based on actual economic, political, cultural and social situations through effective ideology conversion mechanism. By doing this, the national ideology guided by Marxism would not walk from Marxism. Here, the"return"does not mean copying the original discourse of Marxism, instead, it is purported to enrich and develop Marxism by sticking to the core discourse of socialism ideology to construct a modern national discursive structure. That explains why we have the freedom to say that the success of contemporary Chinese ideology can be attributed to ideological conversion mechanism.During the course of ideology conversion, there has been a slew of social ideas revolving around whether or not to build socialism, what kind of socialism to build, and how to build socialism. These ideas have had deep impacts on people's minds and national ideology. So how to understand the new left, liberalism, and democratic socialism in the same problem domain of private economy and private enterprise owner would substantially reveal the contradictions of contemporary China. It can also reflect the feeling, experience and will of different social strata and group. In this sense, the conversion of contemporary Chinese ideology coincides with constructing socialism theory with Chinese characteristics. And it is overlapping with the process of assimilating various ideas into Marxism.Social progress is always led by ideological liberation and concept reform. Ideology, as a concept system, its conversion implies concept reform. The conversion of contemporary ideology is realized through gradual changes. It has witnessed achievements of applying Marxism in China and reflected China's reform and changes in a variety of fields. Looking back at our economic development and social progress, it is notable that the major ideological and theoretical barriers for socialism modern drive are coming from simplistic, one-sided and obscure concepts towards socialism and capitalism, public ownership and private ownership, social class and strata, especially towards Marxism. However, each and every major development and breakthrough made by the Community Party in practice is the result of ideological liberation and concept conversion. Therefore, to some extent, the essence of contemporary Chinese ideology conversion lies in concept of Ideology reform, and in building a"concept group"that matches socialism market economy.
