Yan'an Intellectuals And The Study Of Marxism Sinicization

Yan'an intellectuals were formed in the 30s to 40s of the 20th century under specific historical conditions, by the CPC's organization and leadership, centered on Yan'an. It is molecular group characterized by the CPC's revolutionary ideology. They take Ai Siqi, Chen Boda, Zhang Ruxin, He Ganzhi, Wang Xuewen, He Sijing, Fan Wenlan, Lu Zhenyu and Zhou Yang as the main representatives. They are advanced in ideology and gradually accept Marxism and Mao Zedong Thought. During their revolutionary practice they are combined with workers and peasants to change their class to achieve the great unity of the intellectuals.The CPC is committed to combining the basic principles of Marxism with the practice of the Chinese revolution since its foundation. In the following long period of time CPC has the joy of success of "combining" as well as the hardships of failure. Yan'an intellectuals put forward Marxism Sinicization, based on summing up experiences and lessons of previous exploration. They satisfy the needs of the Chinese revolution and the social development. Because of the complete identity of Marxism and Mao Zedong Thought, subjectively or objectively, the CPC possesses the basic conditions of further advance of Marxism Sinicization.The concept of Sinicization is put forward by advanced Chinese people during the process of learning the doctrine and theory in order to save the country. The early leaders of the CPC like Li Dazhao, Mao Zedong once talked of the idea that they should apply Marxism to practice. But during the Party's early period a deep, complete and unified understanding was not formed on this issue. During Yan'an period, intellectuals who gathered in Yan'an reach an unprecedented consensus on the realization of Marxism Sinicization. In an academic system they illustrate the scientific contents of Marxism Sinicization, its necessity and possibility in China's basic principles, ways and means, and have an in-depth analysis and discussion from philosophy, history, literary theory etc.. This exploration and demonstration have greatly influenced and inspired Mao Zedong against dogmatism. He takes over the banner " Marxism Sinicization " and the 6th Plenary session of the 6th Central Committee of the CPC raises and requires carrying out the historic task for the first time. After the Yan'an Rectification Movement, Marxism Yan'an has become the whole party's general consensus.Where intellectuals gather in Yan'an, they are united around Mao Zedong. Under the guidance of Mao Zedong they translate Marxist-Leninist writings, combined with the historical development of Chinese society. They do some creative learning, research and propaganda. The results of their creative theories of Mao Zedong play an important role in promoting the creation and construction of the theoretical system. Yan'an intellectuals publicize CCP, applying Marxism to China's creative theoretical achievements, and they gradually began to highlight the theoretical contributions of Mao Zedong's personal and theoretical status. Zhang Xin is the first person to use "Comrade Mao Zedong's thought" in a party. This formulation has a positive significance for the party to formally propose and accept the scientific concept of "Mao Zedong Thought". Yan'an intellectuals'research and propaganda and the ideology of Mao Zedong play a powerful role in promoting the status of the party establishment for the guidance of Mao Zedong Thought.Yan'an intellectuals promote Marxism Sinicization mainly through two levels:the practice and theory.
