On The Exploration And Contribution Of Yan'an Intellectuals To The Localization Of Marxism In China

In the historical process of the Sinicization of Marxism, yan’an period is one of the most important stage. In this period, the Chinese Communist Party adhered to the correct ideological and political course, led to create a new situation of the Chinese revolution, brought about the Sinicization of Marxism, that is,Mao Zedong thought. The author argues that intellectuals played unique and important role in the Sinicization of Marxism in yan’an period, they promoted the Sinicization of Marxism from the theorical and practical aspects, their exploration and contributions have far-reaching historical influence and realistic significance.Yan’an intellectuals were a special group in the specific historical surroundings, they were dedicated to the Sinicization of Marxist Academics Movement, they researched and publicized Marxism, used the scientific theory for observation and analysis of Chinese social problems, they applied the achievement of Sinicization of Marxism to correct the subjectivism, to criticize the Kuomintang authoritarian philosophy, and to provide thinking resources of Marxism and theoretical support. They came to understand the masses’ cultural needs and carried out cultural popularization deeply, consolidated social foundation of Sinicization of Marxism.The Sinicization of Marxist Academics Movement inherited the New Enlightenment Movement; it was concrete manifestation of the Sinicization of Marxism. The purpose of the movement was to establish the guiding position of Marxism in academics and ideology, its main achievement reflected in the philosophy, history, economics and theory of literature and art. Be Cared and encouraged by political leaders, Yan’an intellectuals looked into Chinese social problems, developed their expertise and theoretical advantages. With the help of various research institutions, they used the basic theory of Marxism, analysized Chinese historical and current issues, and developed the new democratic culture. Be positive interaction with the leaders, they played active roles in guiding Chinese revolution.The thesis focuses on the interactive relationship between yan’an intellectuals and political leader. In yan’an period, political leaders guided and regulated the intellectuals’ research activity, and intellectuals participated and coordinated the theoretical construction with political leaders. They compiled and published works of Marxism-Leninism for political leaders to learn, participated in important literature writing, took part in debating with rivals in order to uphold the political ideology, involved in the construction of new ideological system of the Chinese Communist Party, and guided inner-party learning activities. In addition, the intellectuals and political leaders interacted with each other. Political leaders promoted the theoretical achievements into policies of the Chinese Communist Party, and made better services in Chinese revolution. Yan’an intellectuals accelerated the development of popularity of the new culture, and at the same time, they strengthened the ideological reforms, they always made the creation of social life, and paid close attention to public view. The workers and peasants, the cadres and intellectuals were well educated.The author believes that Marxism shows solicitude for civilization achievements of the creations which is regarded as its scientific basis, that it gives attentions and responses to social development is the guarantee of its real value. Currently, the research will provide experience and drawings to carry out the Sinicization of Marxism in-depth, add historical thickness and depth of thinking. Actually, it would mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of intellectuals, and promote the development of socialist culture.
