Research On Values Orientation Of Undergraduate Students

Under the guidance of Marxist values, with axiological philosophy, ideological and political education and sociology, this article follows the logic of ideological and political education, analyzing the effect of cultural diversity to the under-graduate students' values. The author tries to sort the relationship between culture and ideological and political education to under-graduate students. He also seeks how to balance the leading culture and multi-cluture,strengthen under-graduate students'identification to main-stream culture; how to flower the leading effect of advanced culture and lead under-graduate students set correct the outlook of world, life and values; how to harmonize socialist coral values system with national education, lead under-graduate students firm the faith of Chinese characteristic socialism while distinguishing and resist various kinds of decayed and backward cultures consciously; how to train and raise the under-graduate students' abilities of discrimination, judgement and choosing to help them to choose correct values in various cultures. Although culture diversity broaden the students'view and press new thoughts, it weakens cultural authority of main-stream ideology, makes criterion of values judgement vague and puzzles their values even lost their directions. Which disturbs the theme of under-graduate students' ideological and political education, weakens the attraction of main-stream culture and the power of ideological and political education in universities, threatens the leading values of our society. Today, the culture is a mixture,traditional and modern, local and foreign, mainstream and non-mainstream, mass and elite, advanced and backward cultures are harmonized with each others. While insisting the basic principle of upholding mainstream ideology, we should prominent cultural characteristics of Marxism to make it shoulder the responsibility of the theme and make the function of CPC's guiding ideology to be embodied as guiding the social culture. For this reason, we should attach much importance to the function of culture, prevent the students lost their direction in the circumstance of culture diversity, and help them strengthen the ability of culture identification. While teaching the values to the students, we should make the advanced culture guide multi-culture, make socialist coral values system go through the whole process of culture education and guard against values out of control of the under-graduate students with multi-participation. Thereby, we can guiding the students firm the faith of Chinese characteristic socialism while distinguishing and resist various kinds of decayed and backward cultures consciously.
