With the currently increasing enrollment of the college graduate, the number of female graduate students increases year by year. They, characterized by quick-witted, full of knowledge and a strong desire to talent, are the reserve army of professional women. However, under the influence of traditional gender concepts, female graduate students are faced with the choice of a variety of values such as choice between career and family, social roles and family roles, and etc. At present, China's ideological and political education in college is generally aimed at the graduate education as a whole. With the exception of some women's college, few universities and colleges will provide specific ideological and political education for female graduate students, ignoring the special nature and needs of female graduate student groups. And as values education is an essential part of ideological and political education, proper guidance should be given to female graduate students to deal with a number of problems in their value orientation, making them establish the correct values. Ideological and political education aims to promote the comprehensive development of students, meanwhile pay attention to gender differences, aimed at the harmonious development of two genders. Recently, there is a tendency in the ideological and political education among universities and colleges, that is,"no difference in education", in which process, boys and girls are treated equally, ignoring the fact that different groups have different needs as well as the importance of gender difference education. As the"special groups"in colleges and universities, female graduate students have special psychological needs and personalities. Especially in the value orientation, they show great difference in characteristics from the other groups. Therefore, the value orientation of female graduate students, and the respect of their special needs has become the new mission of ideological and political education at the present time. In this paper, a survey on the value orientation is carried out among female graduate students from Northeast Normal University with 400 questionnaires distributed, 367 valid questionnaires. And an investigation is made into the results with the focus on the value orientation of female graduate students and the relevant problems as well as the causes. In addition, some strategies on the value orientation and life choices of female graduate students are put forward from the perspective of ideological and political education, to give suggestions on their healthy development, and make sure of the realization of their values and achieving"win-win"state.
