With the global economic development and social progress, the life of human is constantly extended. As a result of the extended life, aging population problem has become the focus of world. China has entered the aging society in 2001, and the aging population has reached more than two hundred million by 2010 which account for about 14% of the total population. Facing this rapidly growing large population, our party proposed in the CPC 14th National Congress that "great attention must be paid to the research of aging population problem, good job must be done in this aspect", and then in the report of CPC 15th National Congress it proposed again that "great attention must be paid to aging population problem". Obviously the aging population problem in China is imminent and has caused great concern in all aspects of society. A series of the relevant researches are under development. How to make the elderly live with happy spirit and good health are the key to the life quality and health longevity of the elderly, and happiness is an important psychological parameters for living standards measurement of the elderly. What is happiness? What influences people's sense of happiness? This paper firstly defines the concept of happiness in order to make readers have a precise understanding of the happiness in the text. The happiness in this article is actually mean subjective well-being, and this definition is given by most of the scholars in their researches on happiness. On the one hand, this definition is not only easy to understand but also show the main essence of the happiness, and it is a main target for people to pursuit in their life. On the other hand, great scientific gains hasve been made on happiness research under this definition. Then the article introduced the measurement methods of the well-being and the main effect factors of it. Revelent studies show that many factors can make effect on the felling of happiness, which including social support networks, body health status, income level, education level, personal goals to achieve, etc. It can be summarized that the result of previous researches could be divided into internal and external factors of two aspects. The internal factors are the individual with their own variables, such as health status, a sense of self-control, education level, self-efficacy, etc. The external factors refers to the individual characteristics of the external environment, such as social support, social welfare, residence, family economic level. According to the characters of the factors affecting the well-being, the factors can be divided into objective and subjective. The objective factor means something real, and can be clearly perceived, and can be objectified and quantized. It means that the real exist can not be changed by subjective will, such as years of education, age, health status, income, etc. The subjective factor refers to the variables which can be experienced by subjective individual, such as social support, self-efficacy, personal goals to achieve, the degree of self-control sense. It is easy to realize that the socio-economic status have the ability to affect people's fell of happiness. The definition of socio-economic status is also very clear, which is the individual or group's position in class society. Socio-economic status is the comprehensive reflection of some indicators, just like education, income, occupation and residence. Education, income and occupation are the most commonly used indicators for socio-economic status measurement. Although there are some links among the three indicators, all of them can reflect the characteristics of different social status, and they are irreplaceable. Most of the conclusions of the research on the effects of physical and mental conditions on individual social status is basically the same: the socio-economic status and health status of a person are the most decisive factor in life expectancy. Socio-economic status of older persons in our country has been in a state of inequality, and there are many reasons lead to this situation, such as income inequality. High-income elderly people can choose to live in much better conditions, enjoy high quality of life health care. And elderly people in lower income levels can only choose the elderly nursing home in general, which has a certain gap compared with the high-end apartments for the elderly. Another factor is that because of the difference of the work before retirement, for example the different positions, resulting in great gap in elderly medical protection benefits, and the city's health insurance coverage also higher than rural coverage. No matter an elderly people was a cadres, or a workers, or a farmers in the past, they just have the contributed to the social progress and development, so each of the elderly have the right to enjoy equal pension benefits, their rights should be protected. But the social stratification is difficult to eliminate from the root. As long as there is distribution according to work in the social system, social stratification will exist. So we have to use other effective methods and the corresponding policies to mitigate the inequality phenomenon. As following analysis, this text adopt the statistic of research about《cooperation of China and France-about elderly happiness, aging, and retirement condition research in Jilin》,combined with memorial university of Newfoundland scale of happiness,MUNSH, plus self-edited handouts of elderly happiness scale, finally, by way of SPSS14.0 to count and analysis the characteristic of elderly's happiness. In times of researching the economic status of elderly, I adopt an equation of socio-economic index designed by professor Chunling Li to calculate the sample of job status of elderly, which is very suitable for our national conditions .At last, I use correlation analysis, linear regression analysis, and multivariate stepwise regression analysis etc, to analyze the relationship between social economical status and wellbeing. Therefore, I come to the following conclusions:1. The happiness of elderly is consisted of seven dimensions: work and life, physical and mental health, financial capacity, family atmosphere, individual value, confident and satisfaction, and social support.2. The level of elder's happiness is good in general, but there is obvious statistics difference among gender, education, income, and living condition etc.3. The social economic status of elder is affected by different demography variable.4. The social status of the elder can affect their happiness significantly. Through the multiple regression analysis, the social status of elder has a prediction effect on wellbeing of elderly.5. The elder could be reemployed after their retirements in order to increase their happiness and social status, and that also shows a positive effect of social support.I come up some important policy inspiration according to empirical research and theoretical analysis. First, creating a great living environment for elder's physical and mental health is very important. Now, in China, the social security of elderly is deficiency. We should increase the money investment of social security and built basic foundation of relevance infrastructure projects in order to create a wonderful environment for elderly. Secondly, we should not only give elderly a chance to reemployment, but also increase their income. A strong economic base provide a efficient creature comfort for elderly, which also ensure their needs for hospitalize. Having a affluence abundant life dose not mean feeling happy, especially for elderly. Lots of elderly feel lonely and sad after retirement. They should be provided chances to communicate to others. By joining different social activities, it will increase their wellbeing and help the sustainable development of aging society.
