On The Aesthetic Characteristics Of The Table Tennis Technology

In the philosophy meaning, "beauty" refers to "the subjective feeling of the objectivating of people's intrinsic power". The philosophy meaning of "beauty" is one of the most important standards of understanding and recognizing the world. It also helps to understand the essence of things more deeply and fully. In this article, the aesthetic features of Table Tennis was analyzed and elucidated on the basis of the fundamental theory of Aesthetics and Sports Aesthetics. This is a new cognition of the Table Tennis in the view of Aesthetics. This will have important significance to understand the essence, laws and trend of Table Tennis technique. Firstly, the Aesthetic features of Table Tennis was discussed from the view of Aesthetics. In order to do this, the "general Aesthetic conformation " theory was used. The two main Aesthetic conformation-- "symmetry" and "multi-harmony" of Table Tennis were analyzed and the following conclusion were drawn. 1 The representative embodiments of the "symmetry" in Table Tennis are the development of pen-hold back face attack, the symmetry of arm technique and footwork as well as the idea of four-side stroke style. 2 the harmoniously coexistence of all competent elements "speed", "force", "landing point","spin" and "arc track" as well as the "all flowers are in bloom" training policy of Chinese Table Tennis team embodies the "multi- harmony " of Table Tennis. As a sport event, Table Tennis has some special Aesthetic features besides the general Aesthetic value —— the Beauty of Kinetic technique. The Beauty of kinetic technique of Table Tennis include "speed ", "force", "accuracy ", "spin" and "arc track" because the fundamental competition elements of single stroke in Table Tennis include speed, force, accuracy, spin and arc track. To sum up, the better understanding of the Aesthetic features of Table Tennis will help us to understand to techniques, tactics and the development trend of Table Tennis and will also help to provide elicitation and direction for the relevant issues. So, we should explore and understand the Aesthetic features of Table Tennis, consummate the techniques, tactics and training conceptions consistently and accelerate the development of Table Tennis further.
