It is well known that there exists the specific principle and obvious characteristics of time inthe procedure of the modern athletes training. In this research, the characteristics of time includesseveral key factors which includes the procedure and program of the integrated training activitiesof professional athletes, and focuses on the characteristics of time of every phases from the lowerlevel to the advanced level. According to the existed results of theoretical and practical researches,it is proved that it takes 8-12 years to cultivate an excellent weightlifting athletes. Furthermore, thearrangement of training and its procedure might have great influence on the potential developmentof the athletes, and their future achievement. In this context, it is very important to design andconduct a scientific and proper training procedure and program for the weightlifting athletes.Therefore this research aims to probe the periodical characteristics of continuous professionaltraining in the view of several factors as bellows: the relationship between the development andthe characteristics of time, the domain tasks and methods of training, physical fitness, techniques,psychology, training load and also the training arrangement. Based on the characteristics of weightlifting and the principles of youth growth, it isnecessary that the training of weightlifting athletes should have a consideration on athletes' bodyfeature and physical fitness. During the fundamental training period, the training must focus on theprinciple of 'make a good basement, develop gradually'. In the junior professional period, theprinciple of 'develop by years, trained by upper limits' must be drawn on. During the advancedprofessional period the principle of 'train at the level of upper limits, keep the training level'. Atthe maintained advanced professional period, the training arrangement must follow the principleof 'decreasing the training burden, keep the athletic level'. The several results of this research can be concluded as the followings: the domain factorswhich impact on the continuous professional training includes the physical fitness of athletes, theeffects of training and the sport injury; the results of training mainly depended on the trainingquality of the coaches and the practical performance of athletes in everyday training; Further,whether the coaches can train the athletes according to the scientific training theory and principlesis the key points for the athletes to become the excellent weightlifting athletes.
