The Founding of New China was a sign of the development of Chinese society entering an important transition period. After that, our economy society and culture began to have a new chapter in history. In higher normal universities, the educational disciplines took significant development, and laid a foundation for the development of the contemporary educational disciplines. This paper aims at investigating the development of educational disciplines in the beginning of the foundation of the P. R. C. concretely and mainly includes the following:Introduction:Give an overview of the purpose of this topic research, sort out relevant study result and historical document, clarify contents of study and the methods to go a step further.Part1:Set in the social and theory shift condition at that time to observe and study the circumstances of the development of educational disciplines in higher normal universities in the beginning of the foundation of the P. R. C.. from the perspective of thereupon, learning educational disciplines from the former Soviet Union had some imperative and pressing. On the other hand, the Adjustment of the Departments of Universities created a new chance for further development.Part2:Centering on the setting up and development of educational disciplines in the beginning of the foundation of the public. Not only in the choices of the courses, the compilation of the teaching materials and the making up of the teachers but also in the popularity of the teaching and research groups or sections. In the process, the educational disciplines in higher normal universities went through curriculum reforms in quick succession; textbooks’adapted, introduction and self-prepared; the diverse making up of the teachers and the popularity of the teaching and research groups or sections under the endeavor of the pioneers and learning educational disciplines from the former Soviet Union.Part3:Making an on-the-spot investigation of the relation between educational periodicals and the educational disciplines in higher normal universities in the beginning of the foundation of the public represented by people’s education。 Then indicates several facilitations to the educational disciplines in higher normal universities educational periodicals such as people’s education provide. Conform and give a boost to the transition of educational disciplines in higher normal universities; an effective way to spread the educational disciplines from the former Soviet Union; A platform for educational disciplines’ academic exchanges. Considered together, educational periodicals in the beginning of the foundation of the public represented by people’s education had played an important role in the introduction of educational disciplines from the former Soviet Union and promoting academic exchange. In addition, it refereed to the ideologization and the inadequate of inherit of educational disciplines, etc."Part4:Basing on the investigation above and combed with the concrete relevant study result and historical document, new characteristics of educational disciplines in higher normal universities were presented, including imitative, political, professional and educability. Educational disciplines in higher normal universities learned from the soviet Union, strengthened education on ideological and political, got more professional developments and educability. Educational disciplines in higher normal universities had scored fresh progress in the construction.Part5:Examining the development of educational disciplines in the beginning of the foundation of the public again, and discusses its developments as well as shortages. The development of educational disciplines in the shift period of history and institution stabilized the order of education and created new educational disciplines system, and paved way for the scientific research. Moreover, analyzed the shortages from the dialectical and the relation between scholarly and politics in educational disciplines, the chinization of educational disciplines.Conclusions:Above all, the educational disciplines in higher normal universities at the explore period was very hard to avoid something wrong, such as the chinization of educational disciplines and the relation between scholarly and politics. However, retrospect from the tendency of educational disciplines its development in the beginning of the foundation of the public was fundamental and initiative.
