Virtual Learning Community is one of crucial components of education system in information society, which entitles its scientific and reasonable establishment to a heated issue in modern distance education. Virtual Learning Community is an online learning community formed by "getting together" teachers and students in separate state through network interaction with a certain "Electronic Frontier" congregating a group of people, as well as a certain cultural idea of education. It is formed and developed from interaction, but not the network technology, for the latter can only provide a certain "Electronic Frontier" while the former is the approach to converging people, shaping culture and achieving the goals of education. The recognition and design of interaction structure is the basic theoretical problem to develop interaction structure system and establish scientific and reasonable community.In Virtual Learning Community, developping of learners' subjectivity have become the topic of modern distance education, which is influencing and prescribing the interaction structure. From the perspective of the actual operation effect of the interaction structure in the community, the "teacher-centered" interaction structure is helpful to the teaching of the basic knowledge but not good for the cultivation of the learners' subjectivity. On the other hand, "student-centered" interaction structure seems to be helpful to cultivating the learners' subjectivity but not to be good for the basic knowledge learning, at last it is not good for the promotion of the learners' subjectivity too. From the point of mode of thinking, the two structures are both constructed under the rule of "subject-object" mode. In that case, even if we are willing to cultivate learners as subject, we have to recognize them as object unconsciously. It is obvious a paradox to construct an interaction structure system and cultivate their subjectivity according to the developing rule of objects. Therefore, the interaction structure system of importance of both teaching and learning in Virtual Learning Community should be constructed under the guide of "inter-subjectivity"+ mode of thinking to form, exert and promote the subjectivity of learners."The interation structure of importance of both teaching and learning" is a structuralized expression of interaction activities of it, which is more abstract than the specific interaction activities while more concrete than the education idea and is the "bridge" of connecting interactive practice and theory. Furthermore, from the view of the logic between abstract and concrete, the structure itself is of different abstract levels which can be divided into surface structure and deep-seated structure. Dividing of the abstract levels of "the interation structure of importance of both teaching" and learning and probing the surface and deep structure are the necessary requirements in the construction of scientific and reasonable system of "interation structure of importance of both teaching and learning".The deep-seated structure of "interation structure of importance of both teaching and learning is the "surface layer structure" of common deep structures of all the interaction structure in Virtual Learning Community. Therefore, by means of analyzing the teacher-student unilateral interaction structure and the bilateral interaction structure, we summarize abstractly the common deep-seated structure in the Virtual Learning Community. And also guided by the basic educational philosophical concept about the teacher-student relationship, we have built the model of deep-seated structure of "interation structure of importance of both teaching and learning" in the Virtual Learning Community. This model consists of interactions of three different layers from the specific to the abstract which depend on each other and interact with each other, namely, operational interaction, informational interaction and conceptual interaction. The operational interaction is the basis and precondition of all the other interactions; the informational interaction, based on the operational interaction, aims at promoting the occurrence of the conceptual interaction, so a scientific and reasonable design and development of informational interaction system will guarantee an effective conceptual interaction; the result of observing conceptual interaction is instrumental in helping us check whether other interactions advance effective learning and boost learners' subjectivity, hence it serves as the most important index to evaluate the quality of other interactions. This deep-level model provides us with a new thinking framework to further explore the rules of interaction in the Virtual Learning Community and simultaneously, clarify the key points in building the interaction system in the community.The surface layer structure of interaction structure of Virtual Learning Community is transformed and constructed from the deep-seated structure. Because of the necessity of operational interaction and the conceptual interaction generated in the informational interaction, the surface layer structure is mainly generated from the switch among elements of an information interaction. In addition, because both the beginning and end of interaction in Virtual Learning Community are learners, so the interaction between learner and content comes to serve as the starting point from where the surface layer type of a Virtual Learning Community is deducted, i.e. the starting point from where the deep-seated interaction structure evolves into surface layer structure. For the above considerations, from both "horizontal- scope -time" and "vertical- scope -time", the author analyzed the surface layer structures of two "interation structure of importance of both teaching and learning"-- the surface layer structures of collaborative learning and inquiry learning, and designed relevant study cases, which provides theoretical foundation for the system development of "interative structure of importance of both teaching and learning".Finally, the innovation in this thesis lies in:Firstly, for the first time ever, the author studied the basic elements and sub-systems of the interaction structure of Virtual Learning Community from the perspective of structure, and made a theoretical study of the interaction structure of Virtual Learning Community as well as its concepts and features.Secondly, the author analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the interaction structure of current Virtual Learning Community, proposed "an interation structure of importance of both teaching and learning "and built the theoretical model of the deep-seated of "interation structure of importance of both teaching and learning".Thirdly, the author demonstrated the relationship between deep-seated interaction structure and surface layer interaction structure, determined the starting point of transformation from deep-seated interaction structure to surface layer structure, proposed rules governing the transformation, and designed the relevant study cases for the surface layer of "interation structure of importance of both teaching and learning". |
