University teachers'occupational stress has not only an influence on their physical and mental health and their job performance, but also relatively impact on sustainable development of the university organization and the nation's higher education. It has, thus, attracted widely concerning on how to manipulate the university teachers'occupational stress effectively, peculiarly to researchers studying higher education and administrators within higher education. This research attempts to construct a researching model that comprises occupational stressor as argument, sense of organizational supports, job satisfaction, self-efficacy and coping strategies as intermediate variables and the stress response, accountability and turnover intention taken as the outcome variables. This model aims to adequately the study status quo, its internal structure and influencial machenism of university teacher's occupational stress. This research explored measurements for university teachers'occupational stress basing on the theories related with the occupational stress and new-institutional economics, a great amount of references and the qualitative interview outcomes as well. All these works confirmed that the questionnaire on the occupational stess constructed in this paper is with qualified validity and reliability. Additionally, it's testified that both the five-dimensional structure of occupational stressor including accountability, management, career development, job security and responsibility, and the three-dimensional structure of stress response including physiological, psychological and behavioral responses. This might be a effectivity measuring tool in the research of the status quo and machenism of occupational stress. The results of occupational stress status quo survey shows that university teachers have comparative high stress perception and low stress response.According to the stress interaction theory and the results of the survey, four types are classified on university teachers' occupational stress:low stress perception with low stress response, high stress perception with low stress response, high stress perception with high stress response and low stress perception with high response. Basing on these types study, it shows explicitly that teachers belonging to different occupational stress type manipulate different accountability and the turnover intention. The classification of the four types provides a reference for the detailed research on occupational stress and the differentiated management. It is discovered that the occupational stressor has positive correlation with job performance, while no significant correlation with the turnover intention, which shows that it makes sense only when the analysis of the impact of the stressors on the outcome variables is decomposed to specific dimensions. To furtherly explore the causalty between the different dimention and the outcome variables, it is studied in this paper that the intermediary or regulation role of the four intermediate variables to the causal relationship of stressors (in all dimentions or partially). This causality steer to further research on occupational stress manipulating machenism when the "black box", underlying impact of occupational stressor on the outcome variables, is partially opened.Basing on the conclusion done in this paper so far, some suggestions are proposed that the stress from performance assessment and career development should be reduced, a fair and reasonable renumeration and supportive organizational culture be established and the role responsibilities stressors be made good use of, so that the teachers'stress perception be reduced and the effectiveness of school management be enhanced.
