Analysis On The Economic Effect Of North American Free Trade Agreement

International regional economic integration is a very outstanding phenomenon and trends in the process of the development of the world economy. Although it from buds to now only just 50 years of history, but for the world economy, it has generated extremely extensive and caused profound influence, also getting more and more attentions from the society.As the world's first organization which is organized by the countries with wide gap of economic integration, in general, the NAFTA is successful. The causes of its success is mainly based on the strong complementarity of the member states' industrial structure, and also based on United States'comprehensive national strength and absolutely leading role and ascendancy in this world.NAFTA is successful and typical, is not only because it has the United states which is ranked first in the world today in economic powers, more because it contains a developed countries (the United States and Canada) and between developed and developing countries (Mexico) cooperation. Such this cooperation is not only bringing the huge flow of trade and investment, and also accelerated the member countries' economic development and industrial structure innovation. The north-south type economic integration innovation mode which has typical demonstration significance.This paper includes one introduction chapter, six body chapters and one conclusion chapter. Concrete structure and main contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction chapter. It mainly includes the background and meaning, research status of FTA, also incudes this paper's research ideas and methods, etc.The second chapter wrote about free trade area and related theories. Including analysis of the free trade area concepts, characteristics, and its classification. And also mentioned about the regional economic integration theory, free trade theory and related theories.Chapter 3 is the north American free trade area general analysis. This chapter analyzes the origin of the north American free trade area with evolution, aims and objectives, and operation characteristics and cooperative achievements, etc.The fourth, fifth, sixth and the seventh chapter analyzed about the economic effects of the north American free trade area, comprehensively studied its deficiency and success. And also mentioned it's success from four aspects: trade, investment, welfare and management to analyse how its member countries of the north American free trade area to produce economic effect.Chapter 8 is conclusion chapter. This chapter synthesized and summarized the main ideas of this paper, especially listed several enlightenments for China FTA development strategy from the development of the north American free trade area.
