The Research On Regional Technical Efficiency Based On Stochastic Frontier Analysis

From the view of regional technical efficiency which represents the usage of the factors of inputs, it discusses the role in promoting the sustainability of economic growth. It puts the regional technical efficiency and influence factors into a more complete framework which contains the theoretical analysis and Empirical Study. It studies the regional technical efficiency and its influence factors based on stochastic frontier theory. According to the research conclusion, it propose the corresponding policies. The research content mainly includes:First, the definition and features of the regional technical efficiency is proposed based on the theoretical analysis of technical efficiency.Second, it proposes the influencing factors including direct and indirect effects of differences in regional technical efficiency. The direct factors which contains labor, capital investment and production technology. Level of utilization of internal factors of production for the differences of regional technical efficiency plays a decisive role. The indirect factors which contains institutional factors and environmental factors plays an indirect role to the production process of social by influencing the internal factors of production.Third, based on stochastic frontier analysis theory it sets up the regional technical efficiency evaluation model and the regional technical efficiency model of influencing factors that considers three input elements which are the capital, labor and energy by using the translog function. And hypothesis-testing model is validated.Fourth, Liaoning Province is studied as an example of empirical research. It studies regional technical efficiency, technical efficiency convergence and impact of the factors in Liaoning Province. And it puts forward the policy recommendations to improve the technical efficiency of Liaoning Province according to the results of empirical studies.Fifth, in the empirical study, it that chooses "regional technical efficiency levels and growth rate" as the object of study studies the convergence of technical efficiency in Liaoning Province.
