On The Factor Appropriateness Degree And Its Regional Economic Influence

Regional economics long-term mechanism has been the hard core of the economics ever since it came into the being. However, the traditional theory still has its inextricable problems while it faces the real world economy. The first problem is that the traditional economics theory can not explain the differences of the economic growth among all the regions. From the mid-term of last century, the new economic growth theory has its advantages in the explanation of the economic growth than the new classical theory, but it still can not offer the exact reason for the hereof problem. The other problem which the traditional theory can not explain is whether the nature has its influence on the human's economic activity. Of course, this problem is also the most serious problem. Most of the economists used to believe that the nature would not limit the human's economic activities. Human can break the nature's influence on the economic activity by the developing techniques. However, the truth is that the human's economic activities nowadays has fallen into such a rapid growth that the nature has the most serious influence on the human's economic activities and even brings the danger to the human's living. Thus, the economists turn to re-consider the relation between nature and the economic activities. The carrying capacity therefore has been taken into the study frame for economics. But, taking all the carrying capacity theories into consideration, we can hardly find the way to assemble them into the traditional economics theories. The carrying capacity theories and the traditional economic theories have their own study frames respectively and have no way to be induced into each other. The truth is the carrying capacity theory is only the reference for the economics study.The nature and environment can not be induced into the traditional economic study frame because the traditional economic theory has no space dimension in its study frame. This makes the traditional economic theory can not reflect the nature and environment, which all have the space dimension. The nature and the environment can hardly be the same among all the different regions. That is why the traditional economic theory can not explain the real world economy because of its absence in the space dimension. However, this paper starts its research from the logical beginning as the factors'study. This paper comes to the conclusion that all the necessary parts of the production should be considered the factor. From this point, the nature and the environment are all the factors, which have the space dimension. If we reconsider the factors and involve the nature and environment, there is the factor appropriateness degree, which can meet the gap between the carrying capacity theories and the traditional economic theories. The conclusion of this paper is that the regional factor and the non-regional factor should be suited in the procedure of the production, and then the procedure can go ahead. This is the precondition of the economic theory study. Actually, the factor appropriateness degree means the meeting extent of all the factors in the production, which shows the situation of the regional factor and non-regional factor cooperation in the production. In short words, the factor appropriateness degree involves two aspects. The first is that the regional factors' carrying ability. And the other is that the regional factor's choice for the non-regional factor while the production is going ahead. What must be paid attention is that the factor appropriateness degree is not only the meeting extent of all the factors in the production, but also the system frame for the economics study for regional economy. It means the further significance for the development of the economic study fame revolution. The real world economic mechanism is its real goal and final destination. Therefore, this paper offers great attention for the definition and characteristics of the factor appropriateness degree, and further more offers great study space for the real world economic development mechanism based on the hereof factor appropriateness degree. The factor appropriateness degree sets up a new frame for the economic study in the regional economy, in which we can have a completely new angle to reconsider the conglomeration and specialization. What makes us excited is that the frame also comes to the conclusion that every region has its own development path because of its unique regional factor endowment. Based on this conclusion, we can unite the former economic growth theory and the former development theory into one frame. While we realize the real world economic developing mechanism, we have no difficulty to understand another conclusion that the regional factor plays the important role in the regional development and we can not change it by launching more non-regional factors in the regional production, even these activities can more or less accelerate the regional development path, however it can hardly be the key power in the regional development procedure. All the related research proves that the goal of the regional development should be the sustainable development and it must be based on its regional factor endowment.Besides all the theoretical analysis for the factor appropriateness degree, this paper also pays more attention for its practice analysis. This arrangement comes from the common understanding, that is, there is no future for any theory if it can not direct the practice. So this paper sets up an estimating model based on the theory of the DEA. This estimating model can offer the factor appropriateness degree for any region and show its development status, which offers important information for the regional development phase. In this part of the paper, we choose the Jing-Jin-Ji region as the example for the practice analysis because of its important status in China's development procedure. While setting up a data indexes, we then draw out the hereof region's factor appropriateness degree and make a full analysis. To be pointed out, the practice of this paper is also the reinforcement of the factor appropriateness degree theory, which makes the theory more all around. Of course, all the conclusions drawn out of the estimating model can in a sense offer the suggestion for the hereof region's future development.
