The Formation And Operation Mechanism Of Logistics Based On The Field Theory

With the rapid increase of the modern logistics size and the socialization of the traffic resources which logistics is dependent on, the operation shape of the logistics system gradually presents a systematic effect with the form of logistics sources, logistics corridors, logistics nodes and logistics sinks, which forms the "logistics field" evolvement configuration. For further study the essential characteristic and operation mechanism of modern logistics system, based on the exist logistics field which forms around the logistics center, this paper analyzes the generalized logistics field which includes the spatial and temporal scales of logistics activities,and studies the entire process that materials flow from logistics sources, along logistics corridors, via logistics nodes and to logistics sinks. On this basis, the logistics formation and operation mechanism is analyzed from the perspective of the field theory, which is of great significance for promoting theoretical research and engineering practice of modern logistics.Firstly, on the basis of describing the background and related field research at home and abroad, the paper proves the logistics field is an objective reality by analyzing the similarity between the spatial and temporal range of logistics activities with the fied. Secondly, based on the field theory and logistics concepts, the paper presents the logistics field concept which includes the spatial and temporal scales of logistics activities, and analyzes the constituent elements and space structure of the logistics field. Furthermore, the paper defines the basic characteristic quantities such as the potential of the logistics field, the resistance of the logistics field and the intensity of the logistics field. Thirdly, the connotation and reason of logistics formation is analyzed by the use of the field theory, and the theoretic model of logistics formation is established. At the same time, based on the logistics formation mechanism, the logistics operation law in the practical logistics network after logistics formation is studied, and the logistics operation model which can prove logistics operation mechanism is established. Finally, the logistics field, the analysis method and model of logistics formation and operation mechanism are applied for studying the field characteristic of the maize logistics in China.The above-mentioned research content and results provide new analysis ideas and methods for logistics activities study, and have positive promoting effect for enriching and perfecting the logistics theory system.
