Study On The Modernization Of Regionalized Characteristic Agriculture In Gansu

Modernization is an inevitable path to the advancement of the whole human society. At present, a primary tendency of the agricultural development of the whole world is to cultivate a big-scaled specialized industrial zone with unique characteristics. The regionalization of characteristic agriculture has been a critical index to assess the socialization and modernization of a nation's agriculture, and it is an unavoidable orientation of our country's agricultural development. Furthermore, with the wide spread of the concept of sustainable development in the past two decades, sustainable agriculture has been a universally-acknowledged new tendency of agricultural development. In accordance with the above tendencies, people have gradually reached such an agreement that we should replace petroleum-dependent agriculture with ecological agriculture. Ecological agriculture has become the fundamental direction of the global agricultural development.The 21st century is regarded as the crucial historical stage of the modernization of our country. Since the reform and opening-up, China has made tremendous theoretical and practical achievements in the course of exploring the socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics. At present, characteristic agriculture in the western part of China such as Gansu province is developing by leaps and bounds, the regionalized distribution of superior agricultural products is coming into being, and the regionalized development of agriculture has achieved much. Gansu province is faced with the significant transition from traditional agriculture to modern one. Meanwhile, as a sensitive ecological area, the western part of China, such as Gansu province, enjoys rich and intensive natural resources; but it is ranked among undeveloped regions. The development of the regionalized agriculture in Gansu province endures double pressures from the demand to quicken the development of regionalized agriculture and the urgency to preserve ecological environment. Therefore, it has stepped into a dilemma and has to face severe realities. At present, Gansu province is building state circular economy model zone, and to set up circular agriculture is one major concern for Gansu province in the course of developing its circular economy. Therefore, to explore the developing mode of agricultural modernization with regional characteristics is not only an inevitable requirement for the building of circular economy model zone in Gansu province, but also Gansu's natural choice of its sustainable development in its agriculture and rural economy. In the course of our exploration, we should take the construction of circular economy model zone as an opportunity, base it on the actual conditions of Gansu province and the western part of China as well as the technique pattern of circular economy, focus on a long-term sustainable development, and view characteristic agriculture as a breakthrough and a strategic focus.In terms of the above-mentioned facts, the essay puts forward and expounds modern ecological agriculture, including its concept, its connotation, its basic characteristics and its developing significance through the combination of theoretical analysis and empirical research. The research takes the modernization of the regionalized characteristic agriculture in Gansu province as a study focus, falls back on the trend of the current global agricultural development and the integration of the world economy development, depends on the basic theories about regionalized characteristic agriculture, agricultural modernization, circular economy and ecological economy and basically aims to realize the modernization, of the characteristic agriculture in Gansu province. The author bases his research on the developing realities of regionalized characteristic agriculture in Gansu province. The author believes that modern ecological agriculture comprehensively embodies the basic requirements and main trends of the scientific view of development and the concept of circular economy applied to the development of modern agriculture, and it will evolve into the new agricultural production pattern combined circular agriculture and ecological agriculture. The author also assumes that it is the best combination of the construction of characteristic modern agriculture and ecological protection. Based on the developing status quo of Gansu's regionalized characteristic agriculture and the construction of circular economy model zone, the author puts forward the fundamental approach to the modernization of Gansu's regionalized agriculture:to innovate the mode of economic growth and explore the developing mode of regionalized characteristic agriculture appropriately and scientifically. In order to achieve the above, we must give top priority to ecologic value, take the technique pattern of circular economy as a basis, and manage to maximize the regional overall profit. The author draws an explicit conclusion that to take characteristic agriculture as the breakthrough and strategic focus of the development of modern agriculture is the basic orientation of the agricultural modernization in Gansu, even the western part of China. At the same time, the author puts forward that modern ecologic agriculture should be the fundamental orientation of the development of regionalized characteristic agriculture in Gansu, even the western part of China. The research aims to boost Gansu's characteristic agriculture towards being big-scaled, specialized, regionalized and ecological by means of the innovation of its relevant regulations and system.From the theoretical and practical prospective of the development of modern ecological agriculture, the author thinks that the reform in the rural areas has stepped into a new stage which emphasizes the establishment of regulations. Moreover, the author makes a detailed discussion on the following issues in terms of policy orientation:the system reform and supportive favorable policies for the modernization of Gansu's regionalized characteristic agriculture, land scale management, supplies of common productive products, science and technology system of circular economy, the industrialization of characteristic agriculture, the concentration of characteristic agriculture, long-term supportive input mechanism, and the brand development of regionalized agriculture.
