The Research About The Influencing Factors And Improving Approach Of The Chinese Banking Competitive Power

The banking has run to the mulriple banking system that adopt to the socialistic market economy from the unitary banking system in the planned economy. Chinese banking developed quickly along with the many problems. Now Chinese banking has to compete with the foreign banking that has predominance in allocation of funds, capital category, control of cost, and working benefit. It will be a important task to evaluate the power of competition and improve the Chinese banking'power of competition.The competitive power of banking that is a kind of industrial competitive power belongs to the competitive power of countries. The analytical framework of the banking competitive power was constituted in the paper to research the Chinese banking competitive power.There are three parts in the paper:1. The evaluation of the banking competitive power was discussed in the paper. It is a complex problem to evaluate the banking competitive power. The banking competitive power can be studied from the five aspects: the competitive power of security, the competitive power of fluidity, the competitive power of payoff, the competitive power of development, and the competitive power of efficiency.Two or three indexes were chosen to study every aspect. Four state commercial banks and ten stock banks were chosen to compare with the foreign banks on the same datas. Chinese banking was compared with the foreign banking in different aspects firstly. Then Chinese banking was compared with western banking in the integrated competitive power by AHP. Amercian banking is the best, then the Japan, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and China. There are big distance between the china and western countries.2.The analyse of the direct factors and indirect factors that influence the competitive power of Chinese banking, including the strategic managerment, governance structure, operting system, internal control, personnel managerment, and the bank property. The effect of every factor and the reason of every factor are analysed in the paper. The Chinese banking was short of strategic managerment. The banking governance structure were weak so the inner controled the banking. Ther are low level of operation in operating system and relacedinternal managerment. The personnel in Chinese banking were overmuch and incapable. The indirect factors that influence the banking competitive power include the market structure, banking regulation, environment, and correlative industrial. The low degree of the market competitive is the main reason of the low banking competitive power. The mode of separate banking regulation is becoming the obstacle of the banking competitive power. The change of economic environment and the development of correlative industrial have the important influence on the banking competitive power.3. The improving approach of the Chinese banking competitive power was brought forward in the paper. The improving approach includes startting the new operation in the commercial banks, asvancing innovation, enhancing the degree of competition, accelerating the banking annex, carrying out the uniform regulation, keeping the stable development of economic, and so on.
