Skill-based strategic alliances are becoming an increasingly important organizational form abroad and at home, but cooperative effect and bargaining power of a partner in them are hardly researched. Cooperative effect is a very important problem that the partners of Skill-based strategic alliances must consider and one reason why they take part in the alliances, and bargaining power of a partner is a crucial element by which he acquires good cooperative effect in skill-based strategic alliances. There must be competition when there is cooperation in present business, and the partners have to bargain each other evermore from forming to termination of skill-based strategic alliances. In this paper, the relationship among cooperative effect and bargaining power, knowledge acquisition, learning capacity in skill-based strategic alliances are studied in accordance with Cournot theory and structural equation models and so on. The objective of this paper is to discuss deeply the relationship between cooperative effect and bargaining power, the influence of knowledge acquisition and learning capacity to cooperative effect and bargaining power, to provide firms with concretely theoretic guidelines on their creating cooperative advantage and acquiring the best cooperative effect in skill-based strategic alliances. The main work and contributions of this dissertation are focused on four aspects as follows:Firstly, we put up with the main differences between skill-based strategic alliances and resource-based strategic alliances on basis of analysis on an extensive strategic alliance literature. This contributes to some thorough studies on strategic alliances. Secondly, cooperative effect models of skill-based strategic alliances are constructed, and competition among three enterprises are analyzed in accordance with Cournot theory。It is found that forming skill-based strategic alliances is depended on two conditions or one of them: (1) Skill on which strategic alliances are based is significantly advanced. (2) Product of strategic alliances can absorb sufficient new-users. It is testified that promotion of bargaining power can raise cooperative effect of a skill-based strategic alliance, but its whole effect increasing must depend on other validity measures such as strengthening of trust among its partners and so on besides its partners` bargaining power promotion.Thirdly, this paper explores changing mechanisms of enterprise bargaining power with every detail within skill-based strategic alliances using conceptual models and...
