| As an intermediary organization to engage in the financing movement and to provide each kind of financial service, the efficiency condition of the financial intermediaries is the most essential and basic question. Embarking from efficiency and its changing —a more realistic angle , it will help us comprehensively understand the theoretical question about their survival and development. In view of theirs low level of efficiency , the financial intermediaries must positively seek their effective way to promote efficiency, unceasingly strengthen their competition ability and financial strength, and diligently realizes their sustainable development.First, this dissertation has elaborated its stage characteristic, the logical clue and the formed mechanism of idea system of the financial intermediary theory evolution. After critically inherited the outstanding research achievement from the foreign and domestic financial intermediary theory (for example, Goldsmith's structure view, Merton's function view), we has constructed our own financial intermediary efficiency view, and introduced its main content and the theory significance.Second, the dissertation has initially established the analysis frame of financial intermediary efficiency view and the dynamic model to analysis their efficiency promotion and development.Third, using financial intermediary efficiency view, from transaction efficiency, information efficiency, management efficiency, function efficiency and system efficiency, the dissertation has further explained the realistic efficiency foundation of their existence and development.
