| Nowadays competitions among countries have developed into the competitions between enterprises, while the competitions between enterprises have transferred from the traditional competitions that mainly relied on material resource consumptions to competitions based on hi-tech and knowledge. Development of hi-tech enterprises will play a very important role on the enhancement of innovation capability, the running of macro economy and the strengthening of international competitive advantage of a country.In the past 20 years, the development of hi-tech products has grown at a faster speed than that of all the other products in the manufacturing industry. The growth speed of other products in the manufacturing industry is not higher than 3%, while that of hi-tech products is nearly 6%. Especially after 1995, the growth rate of hi-tech products is above 10% annually, which is 3 times higher than that of other products in the manufacturing industry at the same period.Therefore, we need to seek new ways and new ideas on how to develop hi-tech enterprises, how to enhance the core competence and competitive advantages of the hi-tech enterprises.Previous literature on firm theory in home and abroad mainly focuses on the study on transaction cost, property right and principal-agent theories. Although these theories do help to explain the growth of hi-tech enterprises, they are not effective enough to guide the development and practice of hi-tech enterprises.As to studies on hi-tech enterprises, most authors try to discuss the static aspect of firm theory and the organizational structure related issues such as features of hi-tech enterprises, decisive factors for their growth and their organizational forms.
