The research object of supply chain management is to optimize the performance of the whole supply chain. A product supply chain is a process which includes raw materials supplying, products manufacturing, distributing and marketing, and is a network made up of many enterprises nodes. Because the complex relations of network nodes and the uncertainty of environment change, a better mode of organization and operation is needed to coordinate information and materials flow, and a rapid respond ability is required to adapt to changes of environment. Since the realization of supply chain goal needs cooperation and team work of every member of supply chain, the issues of adaptation and coordination are the key problems in supply chain management. While supply chain structures, operation modes and negotiation mechanisms are the source of adaptation and coordination, the paper applies agent technology and fracture theory to make a systematic study on these aspects, including supply chain management framework, dynamic reconfiguration, adaptation of operation policy, autonomic negotiation mechanism and cooperation protocols.In the field of supply chain management system modeling, aiming at the standard of supply chain integration granularity and module partition, the paper discusses fractal structure of supply chain management framework based on the application of multi-agent system to supply chain management, brings forward concepts of fractal information component and supply chain coordination system, and analyzes functions of modules inside agents and relations between modules of various supply chain levels. Specialty and applicability of supply chain fractal structure are also discussed.The study of supply chain dynamic adaptation includes adaptation both in resource structure and operation policy. For structure adaptation requires supply chain resource configuration to adapt to-environment changes, the paper uses tools of dynamic reconfiguration agent team and data mining to study adaptation problems of resourceadaptation. As to adaptation of operation policy, artificial intelligence methods such as self-adaptation control and artificial neural network are utilized to dynamic adaptation and control of supply chain policy, and adaptive inventory control in supply chain distribution system is studied as an application domain.In the domain of supply chain autonomic negotiation, for solving problem of low efficiency in human negotiation and information unknown, the paper puts forward supply chain autonomic negotiation mechanism. Modularization in supply chain structure and workflow is discussed, interface relations between modules are analyzed. Based on supply chain modularization and autonomic negotiation mechanism, the notions of supply chain autonomic logistics and synchronous operation policy are advanced.In the basis of supply chain autonomic negotiation, for improving coordination between supply chain members, the paper puts forward supply chain coordination methods with autonomic coordination protocols. After obligation conditions in supply chain coordination and affine transformation of agents policy space are discussed, means of fractal coordination schemas and protocols selecting under different supply chain goals and conditions is studied, and the effect of coordination mechanism on supply chain collective behaviors is discussed.Because supply chain management is a cross-subject issue, the paper makes great efforts to study it from achievements in various research fields. For example, fracture framework of supply chain is built by bionics with the inspiration of fractal structure in protein, supply chain coordination system is set up according to enzyme catalyze system, and dynamic control of supply chain policies is treated with adaptive control approach of automatic control domain.
