With the end of the cold war and the advent of WTO in the 1990s, economic globalization went into a new stage with formation of world market in a significant sense and appearance of unique and promissory global economic rule. Meanwhile, regional economic cooperation at global level takes on unprecedented development trend. According to WTO official statistics, free trade agreements have reached a total number of 330 which have been put on records to WTO and its predecessor GATT till July, 2005. Moreover, the cooperation has been strengthened step by step, while regional cooperation beyond the border between different regions and the cooperation among regional economy groups tended to be expanded. In the process of regional economic integration, China has been left behind in the field of establishing regional economy cooperation with a certain mechanism. However, in order to come up with trend of regional economic cooperation integration, China-Asion free trade agreement has been successfully endorsed at the Laos' capital in November, 2004. Subsequently, "the free trade agreement between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Chile" was endorsed at the Republic of Korea in November, 2004. The above-mentioned agreements must have a significant impact on China's agricultural product trade. Therefore, the development of Chinese agri-product trade under the FTA framework of China-ASEAN and China-Chile will be a hot issue for researchers. The paper is closely concerned about this topic.Firstly, on the basis of referring and analyzing a lot of reference on free trade agreement from home and abroad, the dissemination expounds development process of regional free trade agreement at global level, characteristics of regional free trade agreement, process of China's entry regional free trade agreement and dialectic relationship between regional free trade agreement and WTO from free trade agreement and rationale point of view.Secondly, China-Asean free trade zone and China-Chile free trade zone are selected as case studies from an angle of regional economic integration and economic cooperation in the study. Based on global agricultural product production, trade pattern, and import and export flow of China's agricultural product, the dissemination has a deep understanding of agricultural production situation, agricultural trade policy, taxation policy and import and export manage regime in Chile and Asean.In the dissemination, comparison advantage of agricultural product of China-Asean and China-Chile has been estimated on the basis of trade development situation between China and Asean with method of demonstration analysis through calculation of quite a number of economic trade data and application of RCA model. Meanwhile, impact of endorsement of China-Asean and China-Chile regional free trade agreement on bilateral benefit has been scientifically discussed and competitiveness and cooperation of agricultural product between China-Asean and China-Chile has been fully analyzed with trade transfer and trade benefit theory. Strategic countermeasure of agricultural product trade for China has been put forward under new situation and development perspective has been discussed. The dissemination systematically analyzes establishment of China-Asean and China-Chile free trade zones and impact of the establishment on China agricultural product with integration of theory and practice, qualitative and quantitative analysis.
