Research On Coupling-Based Interaction Innovation In Regional Enterprise Clusters

Regional enterprise cluster innovation(ECI)is a new kind of modes of innovation. It goes beyond the bandage in which actors were confined to single institution and individual and process is displayed linear model traditionally, and puts interaction among multi-actors on an eminent place.The essentiality of regional ECI is coupling-based interaction innovation(CII)because its formation is the result of interactive learning, cooperation and competition among cluster actors. And smooth and effective knowledge transfer and exchange are the prerequisite of interactive learning within enterprise cluster, and interactors'proximity-based coupling is the important guarantee in knowledge transferring and exchanging smoothly.Actors'proximity may be decomposed into geographical, social and Indus- trial aspects in network for CII within regional enterprise cluster. Geographical proximity embodies the regional uniqueness of knowledge in the specifis region, social proximity reflects the nature of social exchange of knowledge at a certain extent, and industrial proximity defines the organizational threshold on which the exchange depends. It is on coupling from three aspects of proximities that cluster innovation network emerges.Coupling-interaction innovation network in regional cluster can be decom- posed into two-level of networks, which are privately interpersonal relationship and formal organization. They make knowledge generation, spillovers and diffusion convenient. The network brings about existence of voluntary knowledge spillovers at a certain degree due to high cost of keeping innovative secret, benefits from re-innovation of other actors as the standard of sector, and effect of reputation, in turn make cluster actors more willing to cooperate.Coupling-interaction Innovation network in regional cluster doesn't exclude the existence of competition.
