The Structure And Changes Of The Rural Social Security System In China (1949-2002)

This paper, on the visual angle of economic history, attempts to make a special topic study on the structure and changes of China's rural social security system over the last 50 years, on the basis of methods and knowledge of Economics, History, Sociology, Ethics, Law, etc. Trying to explore the patterns , structure and management system, performance and existing problems, changing reasons and historical background of China's rural social security system in different stages of social economic development, as well as summarizing experiences and lessons; to introspect China's traditional rural social security system theoretically, to provide theoretical support for the establishment of China's new-type rural social security theory and system framework; to provide decisive reference to solving our"San Nong"issue and realizing social justice and harmonious development rapidly. Therefore, to improve and perfect the socialist market economic system better.This paper amounts to five chapters, and can be divided into three major parts. The first part, namely chapter one "introduction", elaborates the following two questions mainly:(1)The current research situation and meaning of this selected title. Rural social security issue is an extremely important rural residents'livelihood problem among the issue of "San Nong" demanding prompt solution in our country. Also it is a great realistic subject that governments at all levels and academia are paying much attention to. During the past ten years, though the research on social security issue had made a great progress, the study on rural social security issue of China is comparatively weak for the reason that the focal point has been placed on cities and towns, as for the historical inspection of China's rural social security system structure and changes from the visual angle of economic history rarely seen. This paper carries on the special topic study on the structure and changes of rural social security system of China for over 50 years with the following theoretical and practical meaning: to introspect China's traditional social security system theoretically, to provide theoretical support and reference to accelerating the paces of the institutional improvement of rural social security and to establishing China's new-type social security theory and system framework, to promote theory development and methodology innovation of social security science and other relevant disciplines, to write this important chapter of "development history of rural social security system" for the study of China's history; to provide important...
