Distribution center is a bridge connecting providers and clients in logistics network. It plays an important role in logistics system.Good location of the distribution centers has a pushing effect on the function of distribution centers and the improvement of economic benefits. Based on summarizing the researching actualities of location problem of distribution centers, the author analyzes the characteristic of distribution center location and researches the models and algorithms of distribution centers. The main contents of this thesis are as followed:(1) The researching actuality of distribution centers location is introduced and the basic theory and methods of distribution centers location.are analyzed. The methods about the research of this thesis are introduced in detail. This provides a base on studing distribution centers location(2) The qualitative distribution centers location is researched. The index system of location assessment to distribution centers is constructed by analyzing influencing factors of distribution centers location On the basis of it, a hierarchy grey comprehensive assessment model of distribution centers location is established by using hierarchy grey comprehensive assessment method. An example demonstrates that the model can solve the problem of distribution centers location and provide an effective decision tool for decision-maker.(3) The continuous location model of distribution centers is researched. Niche particle swarm optimization is put forward and then hybrid particle swarm optimization is contructed combing with ALA algorithm to resolve this model. Examples show that the algorithm can be used effectively to solve the continuous location model of distribution centers.(4) The competitive location model of distribution centers is presented. The local optimal solution is often got by the general heuristic algorithm for competitive location model. To solve this problem, the paper cites Drezner algorithm to construct a hybrid genetic algorithm. The computing result of the algorithm is nearer to the global optimal solution by combining local search of Drezner algorithm and global optimization of genetic algorithm. An example demonstrates that hybrid genetic algorithm can solve the problem of competitive location of logistics distribution centers and provides an effective decision tool for decision-maker.(5) The location model of distribution centers considering both service and cost is brought forward.
