MF-based Study On The Development Of China's Material Flow Industry

Since 1990s, Chinese government, enterprises and scholars have attached much importance to the study on the development of modern material flow (MF) industry, which has yielded positive results. It is necessary to carry forward the scientific outlook on development in promoting China's MF industry, to clearly define the traditional MF and the modern one and to push forward the modern MF in a scientific way while developing the traditional MF in a rational way, so as to put forth scientific evaluation on the development status of MF industry, work out resolutions to MF problems and improve the theoretic system for MF study. The author of this paper has intended to probe into the above-mentioned problems in the context of theoretic study and actual operation of MF industry with a view to providing scientific basis for government and enterprises to formulate countermeasures for MF development. Therefore, the study on MF industry will exert great impact on not only MF theory but also its actual operation.In terms of study approaches, this paper conducts research in compliance with the theory developed by Mr. Feng Zhijun of"Innovation means the process of creating, converting and applying knowledge"â‘ and in combination with the practical experience in China. Although there would be setbacks, yet the author selects the originality approach in the study after analyzing the objective and subjective conditions as per his practices involving MF and new theory concerning MF.With respect to the innovation of basic MF theory and practice, the researchers, according to the Theory on Macro-MFâ‘¡developed by Xu Shoubo, academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, have put forth the concepts of"traditional MF"and"modern MF"and come to the conclusion that the innate property of MF determines the nature of traditional and modern MF while the non-innate property of MF determines the status of them. In addition, researchers have paid much attention to the non-innate property of MF and established the three-dimensional structural model, which runs through the whole process of study and counts a lot to the development of research on China's MF industry.With regard to innovative MF application, the researchers have: 1) According to the three-dimensional structural model for MF development, conducted comparative study on traditional MF and the modern one and clarified the misunderstandings on the differences between the said two types; 2) Built up a kind of model for comprehensive appraisal that is configured with strategic extensive transformation; 3) Based on the actual situation of MF enterprises, executed effective diagnosis on the three kinds of condition for MF development, namely, traditional MF , modern MF and the conversion between the two; 4) Conducted appraisal on the macroscopic development of China's MF industry via statistic method, so as to provide scientific basis for the governmental decision-making on MF development.
