In recent years, corporations' influence on sustainable development of the country and the whole world has been attracting global attention under the condition of economic globalization and the large-scale industrial reform. In the western world, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has risen to the strategic management facet. In these two years, some events which revealed the interests of employees and customers in Chinese corporations and multinational corporations were infringed, indicate the urgent need for promoting the development of social responsibility practice among corporations in China.In the context of China, this research explored the inner structure of CSR and established the corporate social responsibility performance (CSRP) scale. It also investigated the correlation between CSRP and the variables of organizational behavior, as well as the influence of different facets of CSRP on latent job applicants and consumers' consumption decision. For data analysis, analysis of variance, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) of SEM (structure equation model) were applied in the present study.The research was divided into five parts:(1) Exploration of the inner structure of CSR in China and the establishment of CSRP scale. Based on the principles of scale construction, the research established CSRP questionnaire by methods of in-depth interview, open questionnaire and literature review. After then, a pilot study was implemented surveying a small sample both to test the quality of questionnaire items and to find out the problems while investigating. Next, revised questionnaires were applied to carry on larger scale investigation and 1989 valid questionnaires were collected. The result of EFA and CFA confirmed that CSRP in China consisted of seven factors, separately named as employee guarantee, corporate management, trade responsibility, client responsibility, community responsibility, environmental responsibility, and shareholders' profits.(2) Analysis of the relationship between CSRP and variables of organizational behavior.
