Food is the physical basis on which man survive and develop. With people' living standard is gradually going up, their requirement for food is changing from quantity safety to quality safety. In order to improve food quality safety, countries all over the world are all beginning to strengthen supervision on food safety, reinforce control over the total food supply chains, establish a more efficient regulatory system, and widely implement the total quality safety management from farmland to dinning table. The production of safety certified food just embodies the managerial thought of total quality safety management, and is the development trend of food production in our country. During the past few years our safety certified food is developing very rapidly with considerable achievements, however, there still exists some unusual phenomena. For example, when getting the safety certification symbol, producers or farmer households use highly poisonous pesticides, overuse fertilizers, falsify safety certified food, still use the safety certification symbol when it's overdue, and the mechanism of better price for better quality is not very sound. Therefore, safety certified food management is the key to the management of the food quality safety.The efficient management system of safety certified food is fundamentally determined by the rational choice of the producers and consumers. If the consumer purchasing behavior isn't encouraged effectively or the price at which consumers are willing to buy is lower than that at which producers wish to sell, the producers of safety certified food will be reluctant to produce no matter how adequate the management system is. Under this background, this paper elaborates the management standards and technical regulations of safety certified food, depicts the current situation and the existing problems of safety certified food management.
